I have been staying at this park for the last 22 years.
Not only was it hugely enjoyable for me as a teenager, but it still has huge appeal for a number of reasons.
Firstly, all the staff are professional, friendly and generally make the stay enjoyable.
The facilities are second to none:
Bar, cafe, games room, swimming pool (in or outdoor - as you can move the roof), electric and non-electric pitches, modern showers and toilets, tennis court, pirate ship for the kids, shop - I could go on...all very clean.
The location is amazing. There are two ways to get to the bay itself. One takes 5 mins and is steep and the other takes 10 and is more gentle on the legs. So walk down the steep one and back up the easy one. A few drinks at the Phoenix pub (with great food, real ales and a veranda to watch the sun go down always help for the return journey)..
As you can imagine, the site does get busy, but I have never experienced the groups of "intimidating children" which one reviewer describes.
There is an "outer" field, where younger groups are allowed to pitch up and I can only imagine that the reviewer who had the real problem with noisy neighbours were put in this field, which is unfortunate. I have never ever had a problem with noise on the main park, so I guess it pays to book early.
In short, a well situated, family and couple friendly site which I will continue to stay at for as long as I am able to..
