The pizza's are light and airy. The dough is not too heavy or greasy the portions are pretty decent too

“gluten free heaven!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 2, 2011

Having a wheat/gluten allergy, I've been missing great authentic pizza but not any more!!
With at least 24 hours notice these guys are able to prepare a gluten free pizza dough which even had me guessing!!! Ten out of ten for texture & flavour. Great choice of delicious toppings and so great to have freshly prepared pizza dough, even for the wheat eaters!!

“Excellent food, Excellent staff.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 28, 2011

What a great night we had! The food was really tasty and the ambiance was relaxing yet buzzing at the same time. We both chose pizzas and they were both cooked to perfection and great value for money. We couldn't fault the food or experience at all. The staff were really friendly and efficient and we would definitely recommend it.

“Absolutely Superb”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 27, 2011

We first came across Little Italy a year ago (on a weekend away in Newquay) and went back a further 2 times just in that weekend. When we decided to return to Newquay again this year, the first thing all 4 of said was "Yes - Little Italy every night!!" In fact, when my cousin told her husband that we were returning to Newquay, what she actually said was "We're going to Little Italy for the weekend" :-) The service is extremeley friendly, and the place really gives a feel of authenticity. The pizza's are amazing... rustic and delicious! And such good value!?!? The desserts are fab too... though I had to force it down after my pizza and dough balls :-) On our visits to Newquay, we've been to Jamie Oliver's 15, and Rick Stein Fish & Chip restaurant - both of which we thoroughly enjoyed, but Little Italy is the place we always go back to! The only negative comment I would give is that he's not opened a branch in Manchester!! ;-)

“A great pizza with the benefit of bring your own wine & beer”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 25, 2011

Eat here after reading reviews & wasnt disappointed, hidden up near the new cinema, cosy bistro type setting, friendly staff & great food. Loved the pizzas although my large pizza had less topping than my wifes smaller one! As the restaurant was very quiet we were slightly disappointed that our pizzas werecooked & ready as soon as our starter was taken away as a bit of a gap is always nice, & we would understood if there was people waiting for tables but there was only 1 other table occupied on a monday night.
But saying that & all things considered we would go back & ask for a gap between courses next time.

Thank you for the taking the time to submit a fair and honest review.
As our posters in the shop state we are in the process of a licensing application and hope to be be selling wine and beer by the August Summer holidays. This is the end of a long transformation from a late night take away to a little Italian Restaurant.

The New Cinema has opened 30m accross the road from us and we are excited about the prospect if becoming a 12 month a year business. We have been heavily advertising pre cinema dinner. So we are trying to be prompt with our service and food, without trying to rush anyone out the door. Our pizzas come straight out of the oven to the table, we have no hot holding equipment.

We are also experiencing 'rushes' of people emerging from the cinema and the restaurant can go from a couple of tables to full restaurant In five minutes. On Monday the 23rd we ended up doing 57 covers by the end of the night - not Bad for a 22 seat restaurant!

I'd recommend calling us on (01637) 852021, even on the night to reserve a table. I would hate anyone to go to trouble of reading these reviews, making a trip to see us or even bringing a bottle of wine with them into the town centre to find that the cinema has just emptied and we have no room!
