me and my partner had a really nice time here, the owner john looked after us and treated us like family, the rooms was clean and the sea view was amazing. you couldnt ask for a better location the town is minutes walk away and the beach is there as soon as you walk out the door. The breakfast was very filling and the dinning rooms was very clean. i will definatly stay here again and will recomend it to family and friends.

We have just recently returned from another wonderful holiday at the Minerva Hotel - can't wait for July for our next break there. Please don't be put off by what some people say go and judge for yourselves. You couldn't hope to meet a more accommodating owner than John, nothing is to much bother. The rooms are lovely and clean with kettles, tv's and most are ensuite. Breakfasts are awesome. There is a pool table which the kids love to play. Surfboards, bodyboards, wetsuits, buckets & spades, windbreaks etc to borrow. The lounge area is great very much a home from home feeling. There is also a well stocked bar which is open every evening during high season and upon request in low season. If your lucky enough to stay in a room with a sea view it really will take your breath away. We have always stayed in the room directly above the lounge/bar area and have never been bothered by noise late at night. You really couldn't hope to stay at a more friendly hotel than the Minerva - go give it a try you'll be pleasantly surprised.

We had a lovely holiday here. The atmosphere was warm and freindly and we felt very comfortable. The location is excellent and even though it was late in the season there was stiil plenty to do. The veiws were outstanding and the staff were effecient and freindly. It was great to be able to park right outside the hotel. Thanks to all who made our holiday a memorable one.

Hotel in great location for beach lovers with very friendly and helpful owner, John who couldn't do enough for us, even took my partner to his job interview. We booked a short notice and took both our dogs for no extra charge. Full English breakfast with plenty of toast and as much coffee as we could drink. Room was basic but clean, warm with no shortage of hot water. Bit tricky with the one way to find but with John's help on the phone we found it!

Do not be fooled by the website for this Hotel, as it is without doubt the worst / dirtiest hotel I have ever stayed in.
I had booked in my family for 10 nights, but left after 1 night.
The room was dirty and had not been cleaned for a long time. The bathroom ( closet size ) was FILTHY, alongwith a urine sodden carpet. The electrical wall sockets were held together with tape. The bunk bed had been broken numerous times and was in a dangerous condition. The breakfast was very poor.............................I could go on and on.

The location is central, however the children were kept awake due to the noise outside
