“Good food great views ”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 24, 2014

My partner had previously been here a while ago and suggested it. The service was great very friendly and laid back (in a good way). The food was great my fish was cooked perfectly. We sat outside on the balcony where the views are amazing looking back at fistral beach with more coastline in the background. Couldn't fault the experience at all.

“Wonderful place!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 24, 2014

My partner & I went for a meal here after hearing great things about it from friends. We got there quite a bit earlier than our booked time so had a drink while we waited. It was a beautiful sunny, warm evening so we sat outside with our drinks to enjoy the fantastic views (see, even us locals enjoy looking at what Cornwall has to offer!). Our meal was outstanding, the waitresses went above and beyond & were very chatty & friendly without being annoying, exactly how I feel waiting staff should be. They treat you like you are someone very special coming to eat there - fabulous! I had the lamb shank which just fell apart as I touched it with my knife & my partner had the steak which he equally enjoyed. We chose not to have starters as the puddings looked too good to be missed & we weren't disappointed! I had the cheesecake & my partner had the warmed chocolate brownie - again, outstanding! If I had to find a negative then it would only be that the menu isn't huge, but I liked that as sometimes there's just too much to pick from & with it being a small menu, you know you're going to get good, quality food. We will definitely return after the summer season when it's quieter down in Cornwall again. Have already recommended this place to friends & family. Thank you Lewinnick!

“Amazing Views”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 22, 2014

We were recommended this place by a friend who used to live in Newquay and so stopped off for a late lunch on a Saturday afternoon. We were given the choice of eating in the bar or restaurant, and chose the restaurant as it was a much quieter because of the time of day. We were seated at a table in the window with amazing views over the peninsula. The staff were friendly and efficient. We shared a deli platter as a starter which was more than ample for two people and had a nice selection to nibble on. The fish and chips were very tasty and the pork belly sandwich with apple chutney was a marriage made in heaven and came with home-made coleslaw. Our only gripe was that we didn't have room for dessert. We would highly recommend eating here and can't wait to visit next time we're down that way

“Lovely evening, fantastic views”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 21, 2014

We had a fantastic meal here last night. The views are amazing and the food also. We both had steaks which were gorgeous. The service in the restaurant was great, however bar service after the meal was very slow, although 8pm on a Friday night you would expect the team to be ready for the rush! Didn't spoil our experience but others patience was certainly being tested. My tip would be to book....we could only reserve a table at 6pm as was full after this until 9pm.

“Consistently good...”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 20, 2014

We have been to the Lewinnick a few time before (for a few memorable occasions actually...) and have always been happy with the place. This time we came in for lunch for a family get together. The dinning area was not quite ready but the staff were very accommodating and let us get seated at our table - quite nice with toddlers around.
The lovely waitress that was serving us (Amber i believe..) was very pleasant and nothing was too much of an effort. We paid extra attentions to the kids with coloring books etc...
Food arrived within a reasonable amount of time and everything was just right.
All and all - always happy to visit Lewinnick, good food, great service and plenty of parking (which is a bit of a problem in Newquay). Also lets not forget the view! A 2 min walk up to the Pentire head past the lodge is also well worth it!
