We booked a meal at Lewinnick Lodge as we had visited a few years previously and had a lovely meal. The restaurant is a little difficult to find if you have not visited before as the driveway to it comes off a pay and display car park right on the headland and is not very clearly signposted. We arrived at 7.15 and spotted a lovely table for two that was in the window, when asking if it was possible to have that table we were told no it was already booked (it did not even have cutlery on it?). We accepted this but were a bit disappointed when it was given to some "walk ins" an hour later?
The restaurant was quite busy and it was difficult to hear my husband speak but we had no complaints regarding the food as it was lovely and my salt and pepper squid starter was beautiful.
I would recommend people visit for the food and the amazing view but to maybe go at quieter times. On our last visit there was more atsmosphere but I think due to demand they have added more tables which has unfortunately spoilt that a bit. Go for late lunch and enjoy the view!
