“Fantastic Perkins family holiday :)”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 10, 2014

On arrival at Treloy we realized our pitches weren't big enough - this was not a problem to Richard, he took us to an amazing double pitch!!! All the facilities were very good, there are plenty of showers/toilets (which were always clean) they were free and also included hair dryers in the bathroom area - not many sites provide that!! Pool area is very good and next door to the site shop which wasn't expensive. You can find plenty of bins all around the site and they are emptied each day. We only went to the club house a couple of times but each time the entertainment was good and again the prices was very reasonable.
During our stay they were putting in more electric pitches which shows how popular this site is.
All the on site staff were very friendly and knowledgeable - nothing was too much trouble.
Would recommend this site and will be returning.

After reading reviews of this camp-site i decided to book here upon arrival at reception the lady stated to wait in the car and someone would show us where to go a man appeared on a quad never asked us to follow him just he sped off we sat in the car - he came back signalling us to follow him - i asked for a large pitch which we did get though the toilets were quite far from the pitch it was lucky were had a porta loo for emergencies!! the site does not cater for teenagers - more for families with young children so would not recommend Treloy if you have teenagers!! there were plenty of toilets and showers which were fairly clean - the laundrette offers 3 washing machines and 2 dryers in a site this size i would have expected to see more the usage of the washers are expensive £5.00 per wash though it states it includes washing powder - my washing did not come out clean so had to but my own powder in - i also don't think they have enough washing up facilities approx 6 sinks so often queued to either do washing or washing up and no chairs to sit and wait - the park also closes down at 10 pm -. the games room park etc - they have a cafe and a shop the cafe shuts at 11.30 am and re opens at 5pm or around that time and is very expensive the convenience store is not very convenient store shutting at 7pm - it stocks very basic supplies and is also expensive .
i am assuming the man on the quad is the owner i found him to be quite ignorant & un communitive and lacking in customer service skills

Having read all of the positive reviews I was disappointed to find most of the staff / owners uncommunicative and unhelpful, when I asked for directions to a bank I was dismissed with a wave towards a rack of information leaflets - some customer handling training required I think!
I had asked for an electric hook up but was told none were available despite being surrounded by unoccupied "electric" pitches for the whole stay! We were also given a pitch furthest from any facilities which, being a single parent with two small children, made things much more difficult than they could have been. Having said that, the layout of the site was nice and there was a play park for the children. The on-site shop was convenient if very expensive (a pint of milk was cheaper in the local petrol station)!! Also the inflatable pool toys could be bought at almost half the price in Newquay and the price of ice creams was extortionate. The pool is small and can get crowded but is useful if you don't want to make the trip to a beach, Cleanliness could also have been better, it didn't seem like there were any regular checks made between scheduled cleaning times. Good location though, especially if you like plane spotting - RAF St Mawgan is net door.Have stayed at better sites near Newquay so probably won't go back.

My family have been coming here for about 15-20 years now and we still love it! We have made so many friends who have been going for the same amount of time. I can see us going there for many more years to come!
It is very central, as in its only a 15 minute drive from Cornwalls Crealy and only a 10 minute drive from Newquay and the beach.
The food is great and the staff are so friendly and very helpful.
We would recommend this place for anyone and everyone who enjoy a good family holiday!

We have recently returned from a very enjoyable stay at Treloy. The touring park was looking immaculate throughout. There is a brand new reception area at the entrance to the park and also a new shop which is next to the swimming pool and clubhouse. The shop is well stocked and outside there are picnic tables surrounded by beautiful planters and flower beds. This is ideal if you want to sit and enjoy a coffee and cake or an ice cream from the shop, while you sit and watch your children play in the 2 play areas just opposite. There is also a small patio area with tables and chairs between the shop and pool. There are sun loungers and picnic tables around the pool, which is a real suntrap. The park is extremely attractive throughout, with beautiful hydrangeas, colourful flowers and neatly kept hedging dividing the camping areas, providing both privacy and shelter in breezy weather. The facilities, shower and toilet blocks, dishwashing/laundry etc. are extremely clean. The owners and staff are all very friendly and helpful. The park is only a couple of miles from some amazing beaches, yet is surrounded by peaceful countryside. It is also ideally situated for touring the whole of Cornwall due to its fairly central location. I would highly recommend Treloy.

My wife and I have visited treloy for the past three years and have always found all the staff friendly and helpfull. This year there is a new shop which is well stocked, the pool is always clean as is the toilet blocks. If you want a site with a clubhouse with bands making so much noise you can't hear yourself think this is not for,you but laid back and quiet GREAT. Look forward to many more years there.
