“Overall good stay”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 15, 2012 via mobile

Me and my partner booked this campsite after a last minute decision to come to Newquay whilst looking for apartments, we arrived late afternoon and was shown to a nice pitch not far from any of the facilities lovely neighbours only problem we had was on the last few nights tennagers returning to there tent were very load shouting calling another person from a caravan (thank god a man told them to shut up) good facilities cleaned everyday, we really enjoyed the couple that ran the cafe on site spent many night in there, overall good place to stay even though its near an airport will definitely return :)

I found the facilities at Treloy reasonably clean, they were cleaned every day and kept at a high standard. The younger members of our party really enjoyed the park and making friends there in the day. It has to be said that the rules aren't very well inforced as children weren't supervised on the park and were throwing sand at each other and kicking and fighting one another for no reason. When i needed to speak to the campsite manager, we could see him in the office and when we knocked on the door he sat with his arms crossed and ignored us. I felt this was extremely rude as it was an urgent matter.
Another thing was the night watch man, what does his job entail besides locking the park? He'd lock the park but there were teens in there smoking and you could smell the weed. There were gobby people shouting and singing in their tents at the early hours of the morning. One man pooed behind a tent and nothing was done about it. I got up about 7am one morning to use the toilets and found a man with a big pole down a grid with big chunks of faeces floating down the pathways towards the tents. Certain members of staff both older and young were obviously attracted to my daughter and it was rather unnerving as she was quite young. Also after using the really nice pool one morning i was rather impressed until i heard a boy telling his friend he had conjunctiveitus- he was in the pool. The majority of the staff were lovely, the bar was nice and i couldn't fault the cafe or the park.

Stayed for 7 nights in our touring caravan, 2 adults and grandson (9). This site is well kept, gardens well looked after, grass cutting seemed to happen daily, immaculate toilet and shower blocks. The heated swimming pool was heated!, the childrens play park was well used by the grandson, on the minus side i think we vaccumed more sand from the caravan carpet every night than was in the park. The staff were very helpful when we had a minor problem and need the loan of some tools, the owner was very freindly as were all the many staff. The clubhouse had good quality entertainment and bar prices were reasonalbe for a campsite. We ate at the onsite cafe on two occassions and found the food quality excellent and friendly service and good value for money.
We will be back many times to stay at Treloy.

We stayed 3 nights at treloy touring park in our tent, it was our first camping experience. Excellent shower block, excellent toilet block, excellent dishwashing/laundry block, all very clean. Our children loved outdoor pool and park. The manager let us choose our pitch which he explained would be sheltered from wind (but the sun did shine :-D) should we have any. We will return great campsite.

We arrived at the campsite at 10am and chck in was fast even though there were 3 tents to check in. We they got escorted to 3 large pitches all next to each other and pretty much left to pitch how we liked. The location was perfect on the site nearish to a toilet block and a minute longer to the shower block. The kids play area seemed great even though we have no kids. Facilities inc toilets, showers, washing up,laundrette, shop and the site was spotless clean.

The staff were all very helpfull and friendly and if you ask about staying on your pitch until 12 noon if the site is not rammed they allow this saves rushing to pack up.

Me and my wife over a good few years have stayed at most campsites in Newquay area and personally say this is the best for location, quality and price (price been the main one some of these sites want people to go abroad or stay elsewhere with there prices).

Keep up the hard work and me and family will be back next year for sure!

Good outdoor heated pool, very clean showers / toilets (the most important thing!), decent bar, cafe, shop and playground, really friendly staff and good pitches throughout. Only scored down on location because of airport. You wouldn't know it was there most of the time, but on 4 of our 8 nights there was some kind of helicopter training for an hour after dark, which was annoying but manageable. Would recommend and revisit myself

Have just returned from a short stay at this site and we were very pleased with it. Things we liked were: easy access with caravan, facilities nice and clean and plenty of them, nice outdoor pool which was WARM, nice area for children to play in,small shop, spacious site which was well maintained, frendly staff who were flexible, good value for money for the facilities on offer. Other good points were a bar with music and childrens entertainment and some lovely dog walking areas one of which was in a wood with a small stream and a large recreation field for football etc.Things we did not like - nothing. Would go back again, really good for families all the children were having great fun.
