“Yuletide Yummy”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 29, 2013

Christmas Eve, a howling gale outside made the visit more exciting. What a stunning backdrop to enjoy a lovely pre Christmas day lunch. Atmosphere, service and food all excellent. Crackingly spicy Bloody Marys prior to a nice Pinot Noir from NZ. Not cheap but well worth the journey from Dorset to spend the Christmas break in Cornwall.

“Friendly, attentive, great food and chilly surfers!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 27, 2013

Visited Fifteen in early December for lunch - no problem getting a table despite there being a few parties booked in, and three-course set menu excellent and good value (and maybe a bit too much food for just a lunch!).

Loved watching the surfers in the waves outside the window, and service both friendly and very attentive without being intrusive.

Would certainly go back again, but worth noting restaurant is well-hidden down some steps from the car-park, and carpark ticket system seems slightly confusing for some visitors - I guess to avoid abuse 'in-season'.

Overall, though, an excellent choice for lunch, and with a great wine-list would be good for dinner, too, provided you were staying within staggering distance!

“Expensive and omg the food is so worthy”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed December 26, 2013 via mobile

I have to admit this place isnt for me. The fact that the pasta is rubbed on a resident italian ladies thighs to make it authentic or that the tomatoes have been cycled there from naples to preserve their integrity at high speed just doesnt make up for paying 20 quid for a bacon sandwich plus a fruit juice. The food would be peasant class in its own country good but cooked by worthy farming folk. In the uk I just dont care which shade of mushroom grey my mushroom is. The restaurant setting is amazing. The food is overly pretentious. Jamie is a great chef, this menu is disappointing, the price makes you resent the provenance of every ingredient rather than appreciate it. Shame because it could be exceptional.

“Winters Day Wonderland!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 26, 2013 via mobile

Blowing a gale on the outside, calm and welcoming on the inside! Location, service, ambience, and breakfast all fantastic; best kipper (in my case very obligingly served with a fries egg on top) I've had in the last 20 years!!

“London prices, yes, but still good value”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 24, 2013

Visited in late november, when it was moderately busy but still had a good atmosphere. Service was good, the meal was well paced (many places rush you through when the kitchen has capacity to do so), and the food was excellent, particularly the fish.

Yes, it's above the average Cornish prices, and is more akin to London. Is it worth it? probably yes. The quality is there and so is the service. Overall its a bit of a treat and refreshingly unpretentious.
