Description: In 2002, Jamie Oliver created a social enterprise called Fifteen, which has grown into a family of three destination restaurants with big hearts. Aside from cooking delicious and inspiring food, each restaurant uses the magic of food to empower young unemployed people, offering them a second chance in life, by training them to be professional chefs. There are now Fifteen restaurants in London, Cornwall and Amsterdam.

“Great Breakfast - Private Dining room a bonus!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 16, 2013

A group of 10 of us visited Fifteen for breakfast in February 2013. Given the size of our group we were given the Private Dining room at the end of the restaurant, which was great!

The food was exceptional, the Prosecco (unusual at 9am, but we were on holiday!) really added to the effect. Service was very good and when there was a short delay with two of the breakfasts arriving we were given free coffees to compensate.

A thoroughly enjoyable experience.

“So good, drove the 120 miles again 7 days later!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 14, 2013

We had a great experience the first time, watching the sun go down in the ocean whilst enjoying a the great evening taster menu. We only had the 5 courses the first time round, and absolutely loved it. We decided to go back again, just 7 days later to try the 8 courses taster menu. All served with care by - some perhaps a bit shy and new - lovely and enthusiastic staff members. With a good wine menu to accompany the meal, it was a great experience both times. Lovely that the chefs also honored our request to have a different amuse.

“Food and great, service lets it down”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed February 14, 2013

We ate here last Saturday evening for my birthday and were given a seat by the window at the back. Our initial thoughts were we might get missed by the staff sitting here and this proved to be the case. The food itself was superb, couldn't fault it at all and when the staff did speak to use they were very friendly, chatty and engaging exactly how you would expect them to be.
However, waiting a good 10/15 minutes to be served after sitting down and another 10/15 minutes just to get a jug of water wasn't acceptable.
We had some wine but instead of leaving it in a bucket by the table it is left on the bar in a large iced bucket but again 10 minutes waiting with empty glasses to be refilled wasn't acceptable.
With regards to the main course it was probably nearly a 30 minutes wait and we could see the waiting staff looking at us concerned with regards to our food but no apology. When it finally came over, the head waiter apologised saying the first lot of fish wasn't acceptable for the chef and it had to be redone again and therefore my steak had to be cooked again. It would have been good if they had told this to us earlier when it happened as opposed to waiting until the food was finally being served however we do wonder whether it was a cover story and they had actually forgotten about us !
As long as they sort out the service frequency then I would recommend this place as the food and location was superb.

“Great setting and fantastic breakfast”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 10, 2013

Great decor and I had fantastic scrambled eggs on sourdough bread with orange juice. This is a very family friendly place - we were looking for a peaceful place for breakfast but wouldn't go here in school holidays. I would recommend going here, the food is great and nice beach to walk along.

“Re opens and hits the deck running.....”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 9, 2013

We have eaten here a few times, and during Jan / Feb the restaurant closed for a re- vamp and new menu. Went last night for the first night opening and its even better. You do need to understand the ethos behind this place to fully enjoy it, because it is after all a training kitchen, it's not just about having a nice meal, it's taking part in giving some one a chance, and, the food is excellent anyway, not always the quickest of services, but when it arrives, it's very good. The new Antipasti bar is going to be a hit, the front of house staff are well trained and well versed in what each dish is about, so, all in all, this is a very unique restaurant, and it needs supporting locally, because it is quite simply irreplaceable.
Good luck this season.
