“A very pleasant stay...”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 20, 2011

The room 'Ambrose' was lovely and we really enjoyed the size and decoration and facilities at hand in the room. Well done and though not cheap it does feel very special. Wonderful location to allow a real wonder around mousehole itself. The breakfast really was something else with home made bread and eggs benedict as my choice, Excellent.
One street off the harbourside and parking nearby at £3 a day. No complaints at all.

Having booked a cottage for a week and then finding ourselves with an extra days holiday, we stayed for just one night and wished that it was longer. The room we had, "Ambrose", was huge and spotlessly clean. The service was superb, from the second we arrived. A very comfortable night and then an excellent breakfast with a very good choice, not just a full English. We ate lunch and dinner there during the week and food was consistantly good. On the evening we ate there, my wife had the trio of jelly, pannacotta and brulee and said it was probably the best dessert she had ever eaten. We would definately return and hope to stay longer next time.

We stayed in the Cornish Range after planning a weekend getaway in February, having eaten in the restaurant many times previously. Our room was called Pender the larger of the rooms they had available. It was beautifully decorated, clean and had a huge bed! The rooms are conveniently located next to a lovely garden which would make an ideal place to enjoy a glass of wine in the summer months.
We ate in the restaurant both nights and had both the full and early diners menu over the weekend. We thought the early diners menu was superb value for money and for just over £50 enjoyed a lovely three course meal with a glass of wine each! The fish medley was delicious but the real stars of the show were the deserts which were beautifully presented and made a great end to the meal.
We will look forward to returning to this special place soon!

We have stayed at the Cornish Range before and eaten there many times. This time we ran away to Cornwall on the amazing sleeper train from Paddington called the Riviera Express, we paid a £10 supplement for our bunk beds. Good night, slept well! Woken up with tea and coffe and the most glorious of sights, Mounts Bay sparkling in the sunlight. We caught the 8.05 local bus to Mousehole and were at the Cornish Range at 8.20 for breakfast (pre-arranged). Eggs Benedict with freshly made hollandaise sauce, and beautiful crispy local bacon. We had thesmallest room, Tuke, which was absolutely fine, quite enough room to be comfortable, with a shower over the bath - but thats fine, and lots of hot water. We were very cosy and the break was just what we needed.
We had a skylight which was lovely and yes we heard the seagulls, but actually thats Mousehole! We ate at the Range every night. The roadworks closing Ragginnis Hill are causing a huge problem for loacl businesses, as people think everywhere north of the pub is shut. Not so.
We used local public transport and were well advised by the bus drivers as to which was our best deal. We purchased a Ride Cornwall ticket to the Eden project for £10 each which bussed us to Penzance, trained us to St Austell, and then the bus to the Eden Project and return. A brilliant day out and home to dinner at the Range.
B&B prices are very reasonable and havent gone up in 5 years. Food is - as usual - exceptional, and the service is friendly but not over whelming.
Lovely!

I have stayed at The Cornish Range with my partner may times in the past, so we decided to visit again early this month. We were welcomed in the restaurant and had noticed to our delight that the whole place looks alot fresher, and that it had a good thorough spring clean. This was also true to the rooms, but they still have a lovely contempory/ homey feel!
Breakfast was lovely, and we didnt feel rused to finish like you do in some other hotels. B&B's!!
We also ate in The Cornish Range that evening, as i am not a huge fis lover, i had the belly pork which was exquisite!!
All in all it was a wonderful stay, and as to those complaining about the noise from the sea gulls, IT'S CORNWALL!! Not the fault of the owners!!

The Cornish Range in Mousehole, has very comfortable rooms attached to their restaurant. Stayed for a couple of nights. Very nicely furnished modern room with lovely en-suite. Huge bed ! Super King, I think. Would only recommend this B & B to people who can manage a few steep steps, as all the rooms are reached via an outside set of steps at the side of the restaurant. So when you go down to breakfast, you might get wet if the weather is bad! We were fortunate as we had good weather. Breakfast was nice, and the restaurant is very popular in the evenings. Mousehole itself is a wonderful little fishing village (like stepping back in time). When staying at The Cornish Range, it is advisable to park a short distance away down by the harbour (if you are lucky enough to find a space). Bit of a challenge driving round the very narrow little streets in Mousehole, Because of the steps, I would not recommend this B & B to families with children. PS. No need for an alarm clock, as the very noisy seagulls woke us each morning at 6 o'clock :)

We spent a night at this delightful place. We had a lovely room at the front of the place - spacious and clean - a good bed and a shower which was unfortunately over a bath - never good as one gets older! We had a lovely meal in the restaurant in the evening noting the wonderful old "Cornish Range" in the dining room. We were a little worried that the noise may be a bit much late in the evening but that was not the case until we were woken very early in the morning by the seagulls!!! Well it is a seaside place so we don't complain! We had a good breakfast - some beautiful locally smoked kippers. My biggest problem is with the amount of people travelling in Cornwall in the Summer. We thought it would be pretty busy but it was so overcrowded - a shame, as it is such a lovely little place. We of course were part of that crowd but we vowed that next time our visit would definitely not be in Summer - we Aussies do like a bit of space!!
