“Beautiful”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 30, 2013

Stopped here today for lunch, had large fish and chips and chicken burger and chips. Food was beautiful, chips are to die for. prices are very reasonable - came to around £12 for the two, and you are able to eat in with your takeaway at no extra cost. Will be back again :)

“Best Fish and Chips in Looe”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 23, 2013

You can eat in or takeaway, food is lovely, can pay with card, situated right next to the fish docks, always eat at least once here when in Looe.

“Yummy Fish and chips, with service with a smile.”

Yummy Fish and chips, always fresh and piping hot. Basic restaurant with lovely staff who always like a chat and a smile. Great to grab a bite after playing on the beach.

“OUR DREADFUL LUNCH”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed October 10, 2013 via mobile

My partner and I drove to Looe for the afternoon and decided to have lunch at this diner as we had been here before some time ago and had such yummy fish and chips. What we were served today I don't know....the fish was supposed to be cod but it was vile....all dried up and discoloured and tasted dreadful. The chips were old and had been cooked in dirty oil as they were covered in black bits. All in all disgusting and most of it went in the bin.We will never be eating there again and would not recommend anyone does!

“Very disappointing”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed October 1, 2013

I had chips and curry sauce to take out one night which was OK, not great but edible so the next night decided to sit down and have the Daves special of Cod and chips, bread and butter and a cup of tea.
One thing that really bugs me are the establishments that cut down cod - it is NOT a flat fish so that straight off, value for money is out the window. The batter was nice in that it was not greasy but wasn't a great taste and there is too much of it to the proportion of fish inside. The chips were mostly scrap bits that by all accounts should be taken out and ditched. The bread and butter was bread and some sort of margarine tasting spread.
On the plus side, the waitress was very friendly but I'll never eat there again as there are plenty of places in Looe that are a lot better.
Ignore the recommendation on the door from The Sunday Times, it must have been from a long long time ago.
