My family of 6 booked a table and when we arrived (10 mins before our booked time) we were told we were too early and had to leave and come back. The lady was not at all friendly and we were very put off. We went to the pub down the road for a drink and then 10 mins later the restaurant called us to see where we were!! When we did arrive we were ushered down into the basement which totally lacked atmosphere - no music playing, and just lifeless.
The service was okay, but the food was a little dissappointing. Chewy scallops, cold potatoes, and quite frankly disgusting 'fresh steak' burgers. One of our party enjoyed their lemon sole, but apart from that it really was below-standard. The desserts were enjoyable, but nothing too amazing. And certainly not worth the £30 per head that we had to pay (inlcluding a couple of drinks each, two of us drinking only soft drinks).
