“Home away from home”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 18, 2012

Stayed in this hotel for a few nights and felt so comfortable and at home, the rooms contained everything anyone would need from hairdryers to irons to mini fridges.
Breakfast was delicious and even had home made jam which was lovely, it was such a friendly place to stay, with the owner Nick being very useful on what to do, how to get places and was always happy to help.
Perfect location, a short walk to the beach, a short walk to the town, easy to find but out the way from all the students.
Couldn't have stayed in a more friendly place.

We booked last minute and stayed 3 nights at this comfortable b&b. Room was spacious and well furnished with all the extras (hair dryer, desk and chairs, wi-fi ) and compact en-suite with views over bay - just wish I was taller! Excellent location and good facilities including choice of cooked breakfast (try the lemon, lime and tequila marmalade), use of computer, off road parking. Friendly host and sailor who knows area well and made good recommendations. Would recommend to friends and not hesitate to stay again.
Drawbacks ; dated guest lounge uninviting and would have liked to borrow local OS maps but breakfast staff unable to help.

Room Tip: Stayed in room 5. Rooms at back of house quiet and have views

Oyster Fest October 2011. Stayed in the Red House Hotel with my husband and a group of friends as a surprise 40th celebration. The owners of the hotel are a very friendly and welcoming couple. They made our stay one to remember. The hotel is decorated to a high standard. The rooms are clean and fresh. The bathroom was a little tired and could do with modernising but it was clean and compact and did what it's supposed to do. The breakfasts were excellent. Just what a hangover required. Nick is the front man. He meets and greets and is a welcome smile at breakfast when you're feeling a little jaded. Excellent local knowledge and good for tips of where to go and what to do. We did plan to return this October for the Oyster Fest as we had such a fantastic time. We are returning but are renting a house in Falmouth town this time. I have no doubt though that at some point in the future my husband and I will return to this hotel as we had such a fab time. Well done and keep up the good work guys.

Room Tip: All the rooms have been recently decorated to a high standard.

Stayed 2nd to 7th June 2012, booked a double ensuite, and travelled with one naughty little dog! Nick catered to all our needs, and we had a wonderful time, and have decided to return.

What I liked best:
Bathroom furnished to very high standards, with funky modern touches, and quality complimentary toiletries
Comfortable large room
Excellent location close to the beach, gardens, and a short drive away from the town centre
Completely pet friendly venue, with complimentary doggie towels for muddy pooches
Good choice of breakfast, and wholesome cooking
Attentive staff
Nick as the owner was very helpful giving us details of pet friendly beaches on demand!

I would thoroughly recommend The Red House to fellow travellers. Friendly, lovely place, run by people who understand the needs of travellers, as well as their furry four-legged friends.

Room Tip: I would recommend any of the rooms at The Red House, all are presented immaculately.

Just came back from 3 nights Jubilee weekend.Very nice room, tea coffee provided.Host VERY welcoming ( Thank you Nick ) always happy to advise on places to visit. 10 minutes walk to town centre makes it a good location. Do recommend it and if I will be back in Falmouth will stay there again.Could write more but all is sad in other reviews can only agree with them.

We stayed for three nights and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves! Karen and Nick once again pull out all the stops, nothing is too much trouble, it's like being home from home. Just with the added luxuries of their breakfast goodies, attention to detail in the room with choccies on the bed and all mod cons. The peace and quiet at night makes for a fantastic sleep in a outstanding bed! My partner and I felt at ease. Having the added advantage of having your dog to stay is also a bonus. We highly recommend this well situated b&b, convenient for Fal high street and all the temptation it offers!! A relaxing time by the sea thanks once again Martin and Janni
