“Restaurant great but garden little disappointing”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed August 2, 2013

The food at the restaurant was really good nod I thought it was very good value for quite posh cafe food. The garden sadly had really suffered in the dry weather and the hydrangea valley looked very sorry for itself.
The beach is lovely but they really need a loo at the beach because it is a hell of a hike back up to the main buildings. Still worth visiting and the plant area was pretty good.

“Took a friend from Switzerland”

We had a great time here and they gave my friend a guide in germany that was easier for her to follow, she had a great time and we had the added bonus of a wedding reception on the beach which was beautiful.

“Trebah Garden, Mawnan Smith nr Falmouth Cornwall.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 1, 2013

Located 6 miles from Falmouth on the banks of the Helford River. It is open all year and is a peaceful sub tropical garden, a delight at any time of the year. With winding paths, suitable for those who suffer mobility problems. The paths lead around the valley and down to the private shingle beach. Children are catered for with a series of trails, with a reward upon completion, also a zip wire and climbing frames add to the fun. During the summer you can sit with an ice cream at the beach cafe with views across the river and out to sea towards the Manacles. Whatever the weather this garden is always a pleasure. The restaurant has a varied locally sourced menu. But whenever you visit you can be assured of a warm welcome.

“One to miss”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed July 31, 2013

£25 for the family to take a 15 minute walk to the beach through a selection of interesting but over-hyped plants. Cornwall offers so much more than here for free. Save your money.

“A Treasure”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 31, 2013

Wow! First visit to this lovely gardens, really dont know where to start! Magnicifent setting in a valley leading down to a small beach. It seems to have its own microclimate to be able to grow such tender plantes. The Gunnera are awesome, walking underneath is like being in the land of the giants. We made our way to the histroric beach, where there is a nice commemorative plaque telling the story of the D-Day landing expedition that left from there. There are numerous seating areas to enjoy the gardens, two great kids play areas, an excellent restaurant that uses local produce, and a garden centre that offers a postal service. The staff are very friendly. The admission is excellent value for money. Under 5's are free, and you can visit again within seven days free of charge using your ticket. All in all a wonderful place, cant wait to go again.
