Description: Dolly’s is a tea room and wine bar in the centre of Falmouth which opened in July 2011 in one of the most beautiful rooms in town. During the day it is a traditional tea room serving illy coffee, teapigs, cream teas and cakes. It then transforms in the evening to a candlelit wine bar serving delicious tapas, wine by the glass, jug and bottle. Cocktails are served in teapots and poured into vintage teacups with ice cubes in sugar bowls. Furnished with chapel chairs and reclaimed tables it has a very relaxed and peaceful atmosphere. It is also dog friendly and Hebe, Dolly’s yellow Labrador, is a permanent fixture.

“Different which is good, right?”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 26, 2013

As mentioned by others, it is quirky...but the crab sandwiches were delicious, the tea served beautifully in good china...and service with a smile from the bearded wonder.

“Lovely cream tea!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 19, 2013

Enjoyed a lovely cream tea at Dolly's in Falmouth, friendly staff and a lovely vintage feel to the tea room, overlooking the street, wonderful vintage China, always appreciate a little bit of home( I am from The Potteries) the scones were gorgeous, served warm, always so much nicer and the clotted cream to die for! And so reasonably priced too. Perfect !

“Just delightful!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 15, 2013

Upstairs above the Falmouth Bookseller, it's definitely worth a visit. Everything about this place is quirky and lovely. Cocktails served in a teapot, home made lemonade in glass jars, coke floats! The cakes are delicious. The crab crumble is to die for! You. Can join in with the knitting circle or the reading group. Also they have lots of book signings by authors. I LOVE THIS PLACE!

Dear Jayne - just to say thank you for your very kind review of Dolly's. It's always lovely to have good feedback for a fellow cafe owner, who are sometimes the harshest critics (and I am so sorry about not replying sooner). So hope to see you soon and wishing you a jolly Happy New Year..... Dolly

“Could be great but......”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed August 23, 2013 via mobile

First impressions are great. Lovely internal decor in main seating area. Toilets very quaint & clean.Bar /till room needs serious attention though. Scruffy & unprofessional. Food; I had Bruschetta with honey & goats cheese. Very nice but the balance was a little too weighted to salad & could have done with a couple more pieces of the Bruschetta for the price (over £6). Partner had a Croque Monsieur ( toasted cheese & ham sandwich) again, over £6. No garnish whatsoever. 1 dessert between us ( lavender treacle tart) 2 soft drinks & a coffee came to £23.50. For what we had this felt a little on the expensive side. Having said all that, as locals, we will return. Service was very good & friendly. But those prices prohibit a weekly excursion!

“Pukka Cuppa”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 21, 2013

Having come straight from the beach, this was such a wonderful find with a much needed and totally delicious potof tea ( all Tea Pigs) served in perfect vintage tea cup elegance. The kind and friendly staff made coke floats cocktails for the children which were enough to revive even the hungriest of boys,
I loved all the detail and personality that has been so lovingly put in!

Dear Sarah, I am sorry for my very delayed response to your review of Dolly's. We enjoyed seeing you and your very well behaved boys in the tea room (not even a hint of a sugar rush after the coke floats)! If you are back next summer please do pop in again. With best wishes Dolly x
