I went to Cornwall and found that there was always something to do, or somewhere to visit that would be of interest and pleasure for all my family. Would gladly go back there any time.

CORNWALL, OH CORNWALL
I spent a week this year, in mid-March in Cornwall. It was pure magic. I stayed at Clowance Estate and Country Club(an exchange time share) and the facilities were excellent. Travelled each day to places such as Lizard, St. Mawes, St. Ives,Lands End etc., and enjoyed many memorable sights along the way. From daffodil fields to wind swept sea ports, it was all filled with hours of pure delight!
The winding roads ( which I am grateful to my neice who lives in Somerset, who did all the driving) often had us exclaiming about the beauty we had had just 'happened' upon. Enjoyed museums and gardens and found a wonderful small resaurant overlooking St. Michael's Mount that served the best crab bisque. We went back twice!
It was a great time of the year to visit Cornwall, almost no tourists, so the roads were quite empty and the small villages not the least crowded.

The small village of Pendeen, in Cornwall, stands on one of the most wild and rugged coastlines in England. There are 3 Pubs - The Radjel, The North Inn and the Trewellard Arms Hotel. There is a wonderful guest house 'The Field House' at Trewellard, which is open to non-residents serving affordable, delicious and well-presented meals. Also in this village was an old chapel which is now a Meadery - serving deep-fried chicken and fries. It is known as a Meadery because it serves the honey-based drink Mead. Just down the road - a ten minute walk away - is the Geevor Tin Mine Museum - reminder of the days when tin was mined in the area. With all the dramatic landscape and coastal walks, there is a fantastic amount to see, in such a small place!
