I just happened to be nearby, and as usual feeling a bit hungry...so I put the postcode in the sat-nav.
I had not booked, but as it was a Monday there was no problem. Warm welcome from the staff and shown straight to a table. Menu was provided along with information on the specials available. I chose a bottle of red and checked out the menu.
I tried the mushroom on flatbread starter, followed by a ribeye steak. The starter was like a Turkish pide (pizza) with very tasty garlic mushrooms on top, and a garnish of rocket. Excellent. The steak was cooked exactly as ordered and was served with home made chips, tomato and mushroom. A really good meal that only lacked the addition of a small serving of roasted veg...? All the vegetables were priced as optional extras, which I dislike paying for, as it costs very little to include them in the meal.
Sticky toffee pud with ice cream was a generous portion, and went down very well.
So all in all a very relaxed comfortable evening, with good attentive but unrushed service. Facilities very clean. Quite busy for a Monday evening. I will definitely be returning....especially if they include some veg with their main meals.
