“great meal”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 26, 2013

We managed to get a table on a very busy sat night. We had a lovely meal, reat very reasonably priced wine list - Malbec super. We thought the staff were excellent, very attentive without being over bearing or rushing us.
Great meal, lovely wine good value for money.

“good deals on delicious food”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 25, 2013

Great 2 course deal for £11.95 each if ordering before 7pm from the a la carte menu.
Our family have eaten here several times and always had a great meal, great service and lovely atmosphere. Its best to reserve a table if ordering from the special price menu as can get very busy.

“great value”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 25, 2013

went to chester for the weekend. After reading review on trip advisor decided to give it a go. Staff very friendly, food good value and nice and fresh as the have no freezers. The wine waiter was especially nice. Give it a go!

“A Gourmet Feast!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 24, 2013

We popped in to this restaurant as it was handily placed for our hotel and it was very cold but were so pleased we did! The food was amazing! The restaurant was busy and vibrant but the service was excellent and waiting staff friendly. The food was of a very high quality, freshly cooked and nicely presented. We would definitely return.

“Used to be better.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed February 23, 2013

Not having been for a couple of years we decided a return to Chez Jules was overdue and fond memories of happy nights out made us look forward to a return.

The usual busy evening crowd and buzz was a good sign. It went downhill, sadly, from there on.

The Moules arrived and were lukewarm with my Wifes mussels 80% closed. By the time new ones arrived I had finished (I normally would have waited but they weren't overly hot to begin with!) The white wine sauce was bland and the mussels at times tasted more like seawater. Oh well..main course. Great steak, top sauce and the sea bass with celeriac was exceptional. Just wish we hadn't had to ask for a drink 3 times before it arrived..as we were finishing the course.

First choice dessert wasn't available but worked out well as the cheesecake was great. Probably best to book as its still busy but left feeling a bit let down.
