“staff nice and friendly”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed November 27, 2013

Nice people, but I am not an animal lover and having a cat in the dining room is not my idea of cleanliness especially when it does its business just in front of the fruit juices. I know this may not be the norm, but it happened on our stay and with open bowls of fruit on the table it really put me off.
Sorry

Host was very friendly and welcoming. Chester Town House is a really charming B&B and located perfectly within the walled city of Chester close to CBD, shops, racecourse etc. The breakfast was delicious. Room was comfortable and clean. Top floor bedroom was quaint but spacious. Would stay again and more than happy to recommend.

Room Tip: Our top room was sweet but would try one of the other rooms next time just for a change of decor. Do...

Wow what a gem. Had a fantastic stay at this very well located guest house minutes away from the city centres places of interest. Pleasant welcome from David our host and after having a choice of rooms to look at for our party of six we decided on room 2 for the first night and then we moved to room 4 with the larger bed on the top floor on our second night.

All the rooms were decorated to a high standard and with plenty of charm and character. The only minute fault was a couple of cobwebs and a little dust in odd spots and in need of some good quality tea and coffee in the room but nothing major and did not make a difference to our stay.

The breakfast was lovely excellent standard of produce all grilled and not fried (bonus) lovely selection of fresh fruit, cereals and preserves.

Location and parking within three minutes of the house. Had a fantastic weekend and cannot wait to return with my friends and family in the very near future.

Room Tip: There is also a lovely little cottage in the garden which is like something from a fairy-tale as wel...

This is a very welcoming and convenient guest house for central Chester. My room was exceptionally clean and comfortable, with a beautiful 4 poster bed and feather bedding. The staff were so helpful and friendly. A great choice of breakfast: fresh fruit, yoghurts, cereal, cooked breakfast, toast, jams and fresh coffee. A cosy sitting room is available for guests to share with the resident cat Guiness. This guest house is tastefully decorated throughout, in easy reach of local eateries and attractions. I will definitely come back it was very reasonably priced and an absolute pleasure to stay here.

What a lovely delightful place to stay! Went for the Bank Holiday weekend and loved every minute of our stay. The hotel is just so lovely and in a perfect location down a little cobbled street with FREE parking! As it was built in the 1600 and is a listed building don't go expecting it to look like the Hilton - it doesn't! but is so charming. You are made to feel so welcome and the breakfast is absolutely lovely. Give it a go, I doubt you will be disappointed!
