Stayed here on Monday 24 June as we wanted to visit Chester and this seemed to fit the bill with the Park & Ride just round the corner. We arrived at 12 noon expecting to just make sure we could leave our car in their car park, whilst we went into Chester. The very helpful receptionist checked and found a room ready in order that we could check in and leave our belongings in our room.

The hotel was clean, our room fairly spacious and apart from a slight smell of drains in the bathroom, everything was fine. We certainly had a peaceful night's sleep.

Next door there is a Brewers Fayre where we popped into for dinner after we came back from Chester. This was very handy as it enabled us to both have an alcoholic drink without having to worry about driving.

We had a lie-in, in the morning, got ready leisurely and went on our way feeling refreshed. We would certainly stay here again!

Myself and my husband stayed here Friday 14th June. We had a wedding in Christleton and this was the closest hotel and at a good price. Good location near to Chester. Sainsburys and a pub/restaurant are right next door. Our room was spacious, clean and comfortable. Staff were friendly and polite. I would definitely stay in this hotel if I was in the area again.

Stayed with my fiancé on our way back from the Llandudno premier, and being that we had such a lovely stay at Llandudno - we were wondering wether Chester South would be as nice.. and we were very pleased! Checked in by really friendly staff, who even rang the room phone to check the room was nice for us! Room was big, spacious - and again, spotless. Love the finishing touches of a fan, homely lamp, cushions on the sofa... made it feel really homely. Hotel was very quiet, barely heard any other guests. Meal at the Twirl of Hay was lovely, recommended. Very happy, will be back :)

Very friendly and efficient staff on check in. This Premier inn is great for commuting into Chester for shopping as the park and ride is within walking distance at £2 return per person.
Restaurant next door handy for evening meal and even a Sainsburys across the road for anything you may have forgotten.
We have used this Inn several times and would definitely recommend it.

Me and my partner stayed at this hotel this week as we were visiting Chester for a short mid-week break and we have to say, we were not disappointed. We had a fantastic time staying at the hotel and heres why!

Upon our arrival, we were greeted by a friendly member of the reception team who directed us to our room. Although the room key did not work initially, she gave us another one with no problems which worked. The room itself was amazing, more than a typical budget hotel room. We had a lovely comfy kingsize bed with a choice of pillows, a large plasma TV on the wall and an amazing bath with a shower which had various temperature and power settings. The room was extremely clean and we received clean towels and bedding every day without fail.

The hotel is in a great location, it only takes a 5 minute drive to the town centre and is 10 minutes away from the zoo and various retail parks. Onsite is a lovely traditional pub which we visited twice for dinner; all staff are extremely friendly and helpful and the food is to die for...we particularly liked the all you can eat burger and hot dog buffet! However, as we thought breakfast was a little overpriced, there is a Sainsburys superstore over the road from the hotel containing a cafe where we eat breakfast for a cheaper price.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will definitely consider coming back in the future. We will certainly continue to stay at Premier Inns!

We read the reviews on here before we went which gave us an idea of what to expect.

We travelled as a family of 4 - 2 adults and 2 children aged 13 and 8.

The room was spotless and modern. We found it bigger than most family rooms we have stayed in. The other advantage was that both childrens beds were decent beds - not camp type beds - which we were really impressed with. Despite having 2 childrens beds in the room there was still plenty of room to walk around and for the children to keep a bag near their bed with books and pens and bits in. This made life less stressful after a busy day sight seeing than it has been in some small rooms we've had in hotels.

The shower was great, the bath big, towels changed daily - and no problem getting extra when we had showered at night and wanted some dry towels again in the morning before the room was cleaned.

We travelled by train and the staff we very helpful in organising us taxis into Chester and also to the zoo.

It was cheaper for us to use a taxi as there were 4 of us - about £4.50 each way - into Chester than to get the local bus.

There is a big Sainsburys is straight across the road which was perfect for sandwiches and drinks to take to the zoo, and also for in the room if we wanted a drink. There is a cafe there, but we did not use it.

I had read some peoples reviews of the restaurant on here where they had not had a good experience, but we found it great. Breakfasts were brilliant - John (i think he was called) was fab and gave us lots of local tips and information of places to visit and that were and were not worth going too. He did so much to make things good for us, such as my son had crumpets the first day and each following day he made sure there were crumpets there for him.

We ate there one night and it was fine, and good value for the price. Its not posh nosh, but perfectly good for the price and lots of food and variety to choose from.

Another lovely idea was that they gave our little girl a small bear and diary to take out for a day and fill in the diary at night - which she loved doing - i know this isn't for everyone but our little girl really enjoyed it.

Overall i would happily stay here again. It was much more expensive at the weekend which was my only real complaint - otherwise it was a good stay and good value for money.
