Description: On the premises Sion bakes his own cakes and Mediterranean-style breads. All deli sandwhiches are made on fresh bread delivered daily form the bakery with a variety of declicious fillings to choose from. Cafe Fude offers a great selection of breakfasts and lunches. Sion believes there is more to breakfast than a full english fry up and alongside traditional English bacon and eggs serves eggs Benedict (best seller!!), Kippers, poached haddock, american pancakes, french toast, smoked salmon with scrambled eggs, Italian breakfast, Med breakfast, vegie breakfast, mexican eggs, kedgeree. Also available on the menu is healthy 'fude' options and daily specials. His intention is to fine-tune the British public's eating habits and to promote what he considers to be the most important meal of the day, 'breakfast'. This is a meal Sion has noted that many British people simply omit from their diet. The Fude Breakfast Menu is available throughout the day and offers fresh and healthy locally sourced foods. Also 'Fude direct' offer outside catering please call and ask sion for details , we offer very competative rates for homemade buffets. Tapas nights on a friday are very popular so you must book a table, bring your own booze with no corkage charge. Cafe Fude style tapas dishes (not just spanish tapas) are very popular and the locals keep coming back for more. We also do party nights bring your own booze minimum of (12 people) great for birthday partys and xmas do's etc.

“So looking forward, so disappointed.”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed October 20, 2013

Tried to go a few weeks ago, but it was shut, thought we'd try again today- won't be going again. Ordered kedgeree, told that it was no longer available, tried again with another choice including smoked haddock (they had a special including smoked haddock, so thought that it must be available, because all they had to do was wipe the board-wrong), so I tried a 3rd time I ordered Eggs Benedict, my partner luckily got his 1st choice- one of the specials Smoked salmon, on toasted soda bread with poached eggs and a hollandaise sauce.
My breakfast comprised of a Sainsbury basic range muffin, cold ham, two poached eggs and a tasteless hollandaise sauce all served on a cold plate. My partner also stated that his plate was cold and his sauce was tasteless too. Sad as we had so been looking forward to our breakfast having read the other reviews and the description above.

“Not a great location - but the food more than makes up for it. Breakfasts just a bit special”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 15, 2013

Seen this place as I drive past regularly, and it looked a bit uninspiring. It is on a busy main road with poor parking and too far out of the city centre to call in for a drink or snack "whilst passing". I would never have considered going there if it wasn't for the reviews on trip advisor.
Inside the appearance is basic, with old "home tables and chairs - homely.
However, the food is best described as a Mediterranean café bistro style, and is excellent. Although full English is on offer (and looked great) the healthy variations in the breakfasts and snacks are extensive and imaginative. Preparation is all fresh with friendly efficient service.
If location and sophisticated decoration is more important to you than the food - go elsewhere! If its the food that rocks your boat I can strongly recommend.
Can't wait to try the tapas evening - took the menu as a reminder!
(Park in one of the side roads)
The Egg Benedict is still my favourite, or it the Mediterranean hot breakfasts...........- food is more important than the location then

“Quality breakfasts”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 13, 2013

Really impressed with the guys at Fude. Best breakfasts in Chester (so far). Great menu and I like how they extend their offering with Tapas evenings (yet to sample) and outside catering.

“Really great Tapas”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 29, 2013

Fude has long been a great place to go for really good breakfast food with great offerings you would expect in only top hotels. I had heard that Sean and his team had decided to open on Thursday, Friday and I think Saturday evenings to serve Tapas. Given the flare of the the breakfast menu I decided to try it out and it was no surprise that I enjoyed a really excellent meal. The idea is to bring your own wine and there is no corkage charge which given that the tapas are between £4 a- £6 each makes for a very reasonable cost for dining out. But really the appeal of Cafe Food is the extent quality of the food on the plate which is way better than most of the overpriced restaurants in the City, but that should be no surprise given the quality of the Chef.
The advantage of a tapas menu is being able to sample so many different dishes. My friends and I tried the pulled pork, the Frog Manor Lemon chicken (wow), blackened Tiger Prawns in a chilli broth, spicy sticky ribs, a fabulous mushroom dish with a chilli marmalade, a great asparagus dish and a few more. Yes it is a Cafe setting no getting away from that, but if you want great food and good service at great prices look no further
