“Relaxing Stop Over”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 18, 2013

Nice Welcome, really large well laid out bedroom. Good housekeeping department everything was spotless. Great restaurant staff that looked after us really well at dinner and breakfast. Dinner was good and excellent value for money. There was something for everyone at dinner and it was great to see so many children enjoying dinner. We really hope to visit again soon.

I came to stay for a friends wedding nearby. The hotel was very nice, clean and the staff exceptionally friendly. Only downside was long walk to room - not easy as i was 7mths pregnant and trying to manage luggage and a 2yr old and my friend disables

Stayed a couple of nights, room only basis, and the hotel is fine, clean and very well situated both for Chester (park and ride opposite), and Wrexham (about 20 minutes drive), the hotel being just off the M53 roundabout. Garage next door, but little else near to the hotel itself other than an office park. Very easy check-in with helpful and friendly staff, and similar bar staff. Good sized room and quiet overlooking courtyard (243). Good for all, types of visitors and with the added benefit of gym and pool if needed. Just watch for additional service charges on food bills (they can be removed on request) - perhaps I should have taken my reading specs for the small print..Overall recommend hotel, and even better - managed a two nights for the price of one deal this time. Priority Club membership proved worthwhile.

.

Room Tip: first floor quiet rooms available overlooking courtyard - good size with shower over bath.

Have just got back from a 3 night stay at the Holiday Inn. The check in was smooth and the staff very welcoming. The room was a reasonable size and well equipt. My only criticism was that although very powerful, the shower temperature was not very warm even on max setting.

The breakfast was extensive and enjoyable particularly the pancake maker!

The family enjoyed the pool and jacuzzi.

All the staff that we came across were extremely welcoming and professional - a real asset to this hotel.

We would definitely recommend this hotel and find it great value for money.

I booked a 2 night stay at the Holiday Inn Chester South through Superbreaks. Our package included dinner on the first night and breakfast on both mornings which was both plentiful and enjoyable. We had booked a family room as we had initially planned to take our 2 grandchildren who would have stayed and eaten at no extra cost, so great for families. Our room had a double bed, single bed and double sofa bed, was nicely decorated and furnished. It was a weekend of snow but the room was very warm, in fact a bit too warm of a night. We enjoyed the pool and jacuzzi but the changing rooms housed the saunas so as a couple we had to go in separate ones. It was easy to get into the centre of Chester by going on the park and ride bus opposite the hotel. Definitely hope to stay there again.

Room Tip: Try to book family room if you like space.
