“hidden little gem”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 9, 2013

Tudor House deli is a 5 minute walk out of the centre, but well worth it. My partner and I popped in after checking a few menus in the more expensive establishments, where the food served would not have filled a flea on a diet. Tudor House is spotlessly clean and the food awesome. I had the open prawn sandwich and my partner the salmon. Both portions were plentiful and the sauces which accompanied both were lovely. Reasonably priced too. We were too full for pudding but the cakes looked amazing. Would definitely visit again and highly recommend to anyone wanting to visit somewhere a tad off the beaten track

“Tasty takeaway.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 13, 2013

Popped into Tudor House on way back from an appointment in Handbridge, I enjoyed a lovely take away lunch freshly made in their deli, good food, good sized portions and crispy fresh.
I resisted their tiffin and the carrot cake which I know are delicious, had a lovely portion of quiche and box of salad.
Clean and friendly.

“Consistently good food!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 30, 2013

I have been eating (in and takeaway) at Tudor House for around 12 years, and never had a bad meal. The setting is quaint, with low beams and tons of character - a refreshing change from the high street chains.
The takeaway sandwich and salad bar is always well-stocked and the portions generous. If eating in, the table service is good too - and the hot food is well-priced and hearty.
Independantly owned, the owners are often found serving behind the counters with boundless enthusiasm! A real gem.

“Best Butty Shop and Cafe in Chester”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 17, 2013

I have been coming to Tudor House for about 15 years-the sandwiches and salads are amazing everything is prepared and made on site including the ciabattas and cakes. The staff are always helpful friendly and professional - my ultimate favourite butty is the cripy bacon and tarragon and the tiffin is to die for - I can recommend this to anyone visiting or working in Chester

“A little treat!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 26, 2013 via mobile

I've been to this place a few times now and sampled what they have to offer across the menu.
On a cold nasty day their stew or soup is simply to die for! Or on a hot day, their salad boxes are gorgeous down by the river.
Most recently, I fancied something quick and simple. Pulled up outside after a busy morning and ordered a ciabatta chicken tikka within go chutney and salad to go (and a packet of walker's crips!) and 3 minutes later I was leaving the shop £3.55 lighter but with what was a delicious sandwich.
Will keep returning to this one!

Oh, and do sample their cakes! Sinful but delicious!!!
