“Great!!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 25, 2015 NEW

We came here today with the dog for a bit of a mooch and dog walk. The views from the top of frodsham hill were excellent and well worth the decent. We parked up at the free car park on Simons lane in frodsham, climbed to the top of the hill before heading back as it was getting dark early (with it being January). Can't wait to explore it further. Great!!

“Some great and some boring bids”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 8, 2015

The trail is actually very long and the best bits are around Beeston. St. Chad's church is a hidden gem, not visible from the road it stands in the middle of a field.

“One of our favourite walks”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 4, 2015

We often walk the section between Frodsham Hill and Helsby Hill as a circular walk with a coffee stop at the White Lion,Alvanley.
Fantastic views towards the Mersey and the surrounding Cheshire countryside.A lovely way to spend 3 hours on a summers day or a crisp winters day

“You don't need to walk the entire trail”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 21, 2014 via mobile

You don't need to walk the entire trail to enjoy this lovely part of Cheshire. If you want a variety of circular routes, park up around either Bickerton or the National Trust car park at Bulkeley Woods, get out an OS map and then just wander. Good pubs in the area including The Sandstone, The Pheasant and The Bickerton Poacher.
The views from the top of the hills (which are easily accessible) can stretch as far a Liverpool on a good day and in all other directions. You might spot Jodrell Bank as well.
