“Great location, beautiful hotel with spacious room”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 20, 2012

The hotel is simply beautiful - the grounds, the lobby, the common areas were all lovely. We got a family room which is basically a suite with a sitting room and a bed room. There is a sofabed in the sitting room as well as small dining table for 4. Both rooms are very lovely and spacious. The hotel is off the motorway, and you can take the park-n-ride to go to Chester. We also took a day trip to North Wales to explore the castles.
Got the dinner+room+breafast package for one of the two nights we stayed there. As it was a Wednesday, we had a choice to order off the menu or eat at the buffet. Opted for the latter - it was okay but not that special. Breakfast was great though. Note that dinner is at the more casual Brassiere and not at the upscale steakhouse if you purchase the package.

My husband and I stayed here as we were attending a wedding nearby. The hotel is set within stunning grounds and is located a short drive from Centre City centre. Although we were unable to check in early, the staff were very helpful. Our room was ready on our return at around midnight and all we had to do was pick up the key.
Having stayed in various Hilton Hotels this is an excellent standard and by far the best one. It has modern facilities, the rooms are spacious with huge beds and have everything you need (apart from a shower cap!) it was hard to leave the next morning. We had breakfast in our room which was delivered on time and was plentiful - full English, fresh fruit, pastries and cereal with fruit juice and tea. Although the hotel was holding a wedding and a car function and was very busy it had a feeling of quiet and peacefulness.
I would recommend this hotel without a doubt and would stay here again. Excellent.

Stayed here for a couple of nights in August, nice hotel which has just had a new carpet laid in the bar area – I know this because they did it Sunday night whilst I was trying to drink my Guinness. About ten minutes drive outside of Chester cost of a taxi ranged from £5 - £8, stayed in room 226 on the second floor, large room with two small windows, air con not powerful enough though so room was always hot.
Most people seem to visit the hotel for the spa which we didn’t use – breakfast was good although disappointed with the MPW restaurant which was average fare.

loved the spa and cookies on arrival. We stayed there as a family with children. Excellent, friendly and efficient service and clean comfortable rooms, would definitely stay there again, especially for the spa.

This is a decent hotel, it looks impressive but the wonderful location and impressive views outside don't transpire as well inside. We had a one night stay in early July, on arrival we were welcomed by a polite receptionist who offered us the famous double tree cookies along with two free drinks vouchers. The room was fine but wasn't as plush as many more modern Hilton properties.
Later on that evening we ordered room service which arrived on time and was tasty but a few points were lacking up on ordering we asked for some sauces for the steaks these weren't delivered with the meal. It's the little things that you remember unfortunately, but again this wouldn't put me off staying here again, but certainly not at the top line price charged by the hotel.

I could barely fault the hotel. Every member of staff seems to have a smile on their face and a friendly greeting. Clean, efficient, the overall impression is of a very well-run hotel. I didn't eat there but there is a brasserie run by Marco Pierre White which looks good from the outside at least, good spa facilities. My room was pretty much a standard Hilton type room, no upgrade even though I have a HHonors Gold, but I did check in late and they gave a complimentary bottle of wine instead (shame I was flying and thus couldn't take it!). Overall, recommended.
