Visited with my daughter on a Friday lunchtime in August . She had the pig cheeks which were excellent and full of flavour . I had the fish on a bed of samphire which was unfortunately extremely woody and inedible . This was very disappointing since it is a favourite of mine . The staff expressed surprise that it was woody but that was all. Service was very slow --the waitress did not tell us about the specials and took so long to come back to our table that we changed our minds about dessert and coffee so decided to pay and leave. My previous visit here with my husband was much better.
