We arrived at The Sandstone after a rather crisp afternoon walk around Bickerton Hill. We only stayed for drinks but have no complaints at all.
As we arrived the waitress/barmaid was lighting up a log-burner which put out lots of heat (which were were greatful for) into the bar area. Our drinks (which cost less than expecteD) were brought over to our table and there were lots of interesting books / leaflets available for customers. My pint of house bitter was extremely refreshing and apparently the hot chocolate was of an equal standard.
Although we didn't stay for food it's now on the list of places to revisit!
