“Great Service”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 14, 2013

We picked this hotel as a last resort really, we had no real expectations, but we both ended up being pleasantly shocked.
The room was spotless, well sized and so quiet. You really didn't know you were in the middle of town.
The bed was really comfy and so big, no squashing up, or slidding into a saggy part or a mattress, this meant we both ended up having a good, refreshing nights sleep.
i would highly recommend the restraunt, great evening meal, and really good breakfast, with a wide choice of items.
however, by far the best part was the staff. They could not have been more polite or helpful.
I would certainly say taht staying here was a good choice, and will be repeated again by us in the future.

Combine a rock bottom price with a very nice Hotel and you have Value value value. My Wife and I stayed February 8th to the 11th,and cannot speak highly enough of this Hotel.A 5 minute walk from the Railway Station,a 2 minute walk into the City Centre, staff that can't do enough for you,Comfortable Clean Room,a Great Breakfast adds up to a very worthwhile stay.We must also mention the Artichoke Restaurant, turn right out of the Hotel, then take the Steps down to the Canal Side, and you'll come across it.We enjoyed a Fantastic Sunday Lunch, two courses for £12.95 with Ribeye Beef for the Main, and a stunning Sweet, even the Glass of Water was excellent.....

Quiet nights, value for money and friendly, helpful and efficient staff. What a pleasure it was. I will certainly be staying at Pemier Inns in future if they are all of this standard. Location was ideal also.

Really impressed, better than alot of more expensive hotels, room was great, service very good.
5 mins from the centre for shopping and close to some nice restaurants and pubs.
Premier inn car park is small but very handy, the downside is its not easy to find first time round, its off the one way system and no signposts, also it got confusing at the barrier, no tokens etc, just pay cash for parking at reception, but only £6 for overnight !

We stayed here for one night in February. The hotel is easy walking distance to the centre of Chester and the Railway Station. Premier Inns all have the same consistent standards which is great as you know roughly what to expect. The staff were pleasant and helpful. Room was clean, good size and great shower. The breakfast cost extra but was worth it and well cooked. Nice to have the option af breakfast from 7am to 11.30am. Our only gripe was that there was noise from outside. People walking home from clubs. Also a street cleaning truck making a bit of noise at 4am.

Booked the room on a deal, if you want clean cheap and close to the city centre then book here. 5 mins from the train station and 5 mins from the centre of town. Room was clean, bed very comfortable, only criticism was a bit of noise in the early hours from a delivery truck we where in room 310 but didn't really disturb us, booked breakfast on arrival, can't fault it.

I'm a big fan of Premier Inns and this one was up to the usual standard. My room was indistinguishable from most other Premier Inn rooms (i.e. it had exactly what a traveller needs, without pointless extras) and the staff were all very eager to please. I had a four-night stay and managed to get the £29 nightly rate by booking a couple of months in advance.

The central location is great - only a five-minute walk from the hotel and you're looking at the famous Eastgate Clock. The one reservation is that the short walk includes a slightly dodgy subway with a beggar or two - this may feel intimidating for some after dark.

The only real issue with the hotel is the parking. The car park in the hotel basement only has about a dozen spaces, so you have to get there early to bag one (which I did!). If you do succeed in getting a space, Premier Inn charge you £6 a night. I expressed my surprise at being charged to use a car park that appears to be integral to the hotel but apparently there is some complicated ownership situation. Maybe it's just as well that the hotel is only a short distance down the road from the train station!
