“What a fantastic hotel!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 3, 2013

We stayed at this hotel for a short break earlier this year.

We loved the circular bed and galleried bathroom, as well as the cocktails and general vibe of the hotel. The light breakfast delivered to our room was a nice extra.

The Thai restaurant a couple of doors down was great too.

My brother had his wedding here this month. The day was pefect, the staff were friendly and keen to help if needed. The hotel was immaculate as was the attic room were we stayed. A lovely venue for a wedding and would highly recomend it to anyone.

This was mine and my boyfriends second stay at oddfellows this year (although when we visit chester we do pop in for a cocktail!)
I'm always surprised when I walk in here because you would never know that there was a lovely little garden area in the middle of the hotel!
We had a couple of drinks in the garden before we checked in - cocktails are scrummy!
The room was spotless, bed comfy and decor quirky - note that the open plan bathroom means that you'd need to be pretty comfortable with your partner!
Only problem was the noise the following morning as we'd opened the window during the night. We expected a bit of a lie in but due to the room we had (room 6) which was on the end of the building, we overlooked a side alley full of drinking, swearing, homeless people. I appreciate that this wasn't the hotels fault but it took the shine off things a bit.
Overall, lovely hotel in a fantastic location - just avoid room 6!
P.s. my boyfriend loves the 'to go' breakfast but asks that you bring back the warm croissants that you did in February :-)

Had a wonderful stay at the hotel for our wedding anniversary. We had originally booked in to the Green Bough Hotel but were let down by them not being able to honour the booking less than 48 hours before our stay and got the last room available at Oddfellows so undoubtably paid through the nose but boy was it worth it! Am still smiling now from the experience, quirky, fun and very tasteful. We stayed in room 15, which was split level with a roll top bath next to the enormous bed. Would definitely like to come back, saving up already!!

Room Tip: Go a little bit more than you can afford x

We stayed at this hotel last week for one night. We had booked one of the loft rooms. From arriving until we checked out, we had a fantastic stay. We didn't eat at the hotel in the evening, but enjoyed the full English breakfast. The staff were all extremely friendly and helpful and I would definitely recommend this hotel. We will be returning for sure!

Very good service, good hostess and personal waitress, good drink selection - non alcoholic & alcoholic.
Would go back again and do the same as we did last time!
Didn't stay as we live close by but would if I could.

I loved my stay here! Great staff, lovely food, complimentary breakfast, clean spacious rooms, central location. Parking found on pepper street, £6.50 for 24 hours with Oddfellows validation. Overall a fantastic stay. We got upgraded to a fancier room without even asking (I'm guessing because we stayed mid-week and it wasn't booked up) and there's also lots of good deals if you download the Oddfellows app, we stayed for afternoon tea 241.

Thoroughly recommend this place and will be returning!
