We visited the Milton Arms on a Saturday night and it was not very busy so, unlike some other reviewers, we found the service to be pretty good. The staff were friendly and helpful although our main courses did take a long time to arrive. Apart from some slightly burnt garlic bread the quality of the food was good and the value for money excellent, there are not many pubs that have desserts for under £2.
I think the dining experience could be improved if there was more segregation of the serious drinkers from the diners, as the former were getting quite noisy during our visit but this was not really a problem. I would be happy to return to the Milton Arms for another meal.
