“Absolutely fantastic, in every way!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 22, 2010

We ate here for the first time last night, and were very pleasantly surprised by what we found. We didnt really know what to expect as we hadnt done much research, but it definitely exceeded any expectations we did have.
The service was fantastic; very attentive waitress, and the couple who run it were very friendly and personable.
The decor is amazing - im a big fan of french shabby chic, and this encapsulates the whole look perfectly. With an open fire at one end of the restaurant too, its the perfect finishing touch. Theres lots to look at and even the opportunity to buy bits and pieces should you wish to copy the look at home!
The atmosphere is very relaxed and cosy - nice background music and background chatter from people sat in the 'bar' area.
And, most importantly, the food is fantastic. We had 3 courses each, which is a first, but we just couldnt resist ordering something for each course. There is the normal winter menu, along with different specials every day. The prices are very reasonable for the standard of food that is served - we couldnt fault any of it.
We will absolutely be returning, and look forward to better weather when we can take advantage of the lovely outside seating area! Fabulous! :)

“Great food, good wine selection Wherry & Black Sheep on tap”

The food has been great on every visit, pleasant and friendly staff. The beer tastes great, better than any pub I have visited in Cambridge.

“Fantastic!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 15, 2010

I won a competition for a meal for two with Star Radio. We had never heard of the Willow Tree coming from South Cambridgeshire so we are now very glad that we have! We had a fantastic meal the lamb was cooked perfectly, cod with pak choi was fantastic as were starters and desserts. The front of house staff were brilliant and we actually ended up sitting next to the sous-chef! I have recommended to friends since and one went Saturday, he couldn't have been more impressed!

“A Hidden Gem in the Cambridgeshire Countryside”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 4, 2010

We had such a lovely night at The Willow Tree for my birthday recently.

We were greeted with smiles and well looked after by the front of house staff, who served us a beautiful three course meal, they even put a candle in my gorgeous Pot au Chocolat dessert! The specials board had a lot to offer in addition to what is already a fairly diverse & attractive menu.

My steak was cooked to perfection, the scallops & the chicken dish were delicious, whilst the vegetarian 'rotolo' was divine. The Chilean Cabernet Reserve was a tasty recommendation to accompany the steak!

The interiors are quirky and stylish, with many pretty items available to buy or order.

We will definitely be visiting The Willow Tree again very soon :)

“Great every time”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 29, 2010

This has got to be the most bizarre set of reviews I have ever read. I have been to The Willow Tree four or five times over the last six months and have never been disappointed. The service is excellent , the food is fabulous and the ambiance superb. The menu has just changed and is just as innovative and exciting as the last one with several specials also available. I don't usually write reviews but felt compelled to on this occasion having found some of the criticisms grossly unfair.
