“An Oasis on a hot day”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 20, 2014

We tried this place on a warm Friday. We chose to eat indoors. We had the option of eating on the covered patio (most people were). Inside it was cooler and quieter and we were able to relax. The waitress was pouring drinks when we arrived but took the time to greet us and allocate us a table during this process. Our menus were delivered and our drinks orders taken. Most of us the Camembert which arrived in a reasonable time. For the mains we all had the pulled pork burgers. These were tasty and filling. So much so only one of us could manage a dessert. This was a sticky toffee pudding. It was reported to be very good. The meal was a relaxed affair and all the food was cooked to order. This is a place we will definitely visit again when we are passing!

“May easily become my new favourite place!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 10, 2014

We've been here twice now and it's just wonderful. The staff are faultless, the food amazing and the wine delicious. This isn't the place for you if you need huge portions but it's plenty to fill you up and we had bread and oils to start with which was gorgeous. It is expensive so wouldn't do it too often but looking forward to checking out the jazz events they have!

“Decent!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 5, 2014

Lovely looking pub! Really good food, I had the pulled pork burger which was great. The starters were far too small though and didn't represent good value for money. The mains are huge. I had the duck starter as did another friend. It was more like an amouse bouchée and was finished in literally 3 mouthfuls. Didn't make sense as they didn't scrimp at all elsewhere. Would have been a 5 out of 5 if not! The bill was £90 for three of us. This included 2beers each. Over all I feel that the Willow Tree represents good value for really good food. Happy to return.

“Superb supper”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 3, 2014

A quaint little eatery with a quirky interior. A small, yet adventurous menu with a range of delicious choices. I went for the calamari to start which was tasty, if a little salty. For main I had the pulled pork burger, which I can honestly say was the best burger I have ever eaten! It could be likened to a hog roast but the pork was so sweet and succulent that I enjoyed every bite. Beware the chips give a whole new meaning to 'chunky chips' and you will not go home hungry with very generous portions. The staff were friendly and attentive and the restaurant has a very relaxed atmosphere. We had a very enjoyable evening and will definitely be returning.
