This place is outstanding, I ate fantastic cakes and drank excellent coffee. Wonderful atmosphere, excellent/friendly/helpful staff. Cannot wait to go back and try some more of their great food.

“Delicious but busy”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 11, 2013

This is a lovely place to pick up a bite to eat for lunch. The food is fresh and tasty. My only criticism would be that the cafe is very small and a little cramped (despite some extra downstairs seating) and queues can be very long, especially on a busy weekend. My advice would be to go there for an early lunch. I haven't tried any of the desserts yet but the pizzas and focaccia are great!

“Great food - worth the wait!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 10, 2013

Being one of the top restaurants in central Cambridge, I was curious to try Aromi for myself. We arrived at around 2pm on a Saturday afternoon in November and were temporarily hesitant after spotting a very long queue outside the door! Although we waited for about 20 minutes to be served, it proved to be worth the wait as the food was absolutely delicious.

My partner and I ordered the Margherita and the caramelised onion pizzas, the latter of which was so full of flavour - definitely one of the best pizzas I've had. For around £4/£5 you get a relatively decent sized portion; the dough is fresh and very filling. The interior decor is lovely and carries a very authentic Italian appeal. The staff were very efficient, informing us exactly how long we would have to wait for our food before the order was confirmed.

All in all, Aromi lives up to its TripAdvisor reputation, but in an ideal world, there would be more space. We ended up sitting downstairs on quite a cramped table, though we were lucky to get a seat.

I would honestly urge everybody to try this place. My only regret is not living closer to Cambridge to visit Aromi more often!

“Fantastic service and delicious foof”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 9, 2013

I've been to Aromi two times now; it has a fab ambience, the staff are friendly and attentive, the food is delicious and yummy, and they have one of the best hot chocolates in the world. Try to avoid peak times because you will be disappointed about the queues. If you love food, you will love Aromi. Grazie.

“Real Sicilian cafe”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 7, 2013

I've always walked past this place on a Saturday and the queue is out the door and down the road. This is somewhat due to the counter being at the front door, and their service isn't the most efficient but stick with it... the simple fresh pizza slices are fantastic, the canoli even better, and the thick (not thin) hot chocolate is something that those on death row most likely request before the switch is flicked....

Definitely try it out and enjoy.
