“Enjoyable history”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 22, 2012

Loved the house and the grounds. I don't walk very well now so haven't been back yet but we're planning to visit with a wheelchair or mobility scooter next time so will write another report then.

“October colour”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 21, 2012 via mobile

enjoyable trip round the gardens but let down by drinks at the end. My hot chocolate lacked something- oh chocolate taste all cakes were good appart from my husband that was dry. Hot plates still messy from lunch at four. Also a difficult payment and hot drinks system where you seam to get in the way of other customers.

“Fantastic day out for whole family”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 20, 2012

Lots of things to get children involved with nature. Beautifuul gardens, good restaurant. New enlarged parking, easy to get to from A14 north of Cambridge. Nothing to complain about at all.

“Garden for all seasons”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 18, 2012

A lovely day out. Great place for all ages and all seasons. Extensive gardens with well laid out paths for kids to run around and explore. We visited in autumn and the colours in the winter walk were beautiful.
The house is full of very interesting clocks. Look out for the Pagoda clock in the living room and the "unusual" balance clock in the library.
The visitors centre is well organised with large restaurant. Car park is good hard standing which is great in this year of heavy rainfall as a lot of National Trust car parks get muddy in the rain. Well done N.T.
