“Lots to discover here”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 13, 2013

This is a fascinating place. I expected it to be rather dry but it was really interesting to learn so much in a relatively small space. It is not as busy as other Cambridge museums so has a calm atmosphere.

“Great and quirky little museum”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 24, 2013

We all really enjoyed ourselves here - this small but well put together museum is a hidden gem! It is on the New Museums site, close to the Sedgwick and the Museum of Archeology and Anthropology but is tucked away around the corner next to the Cavendish laboratories. Seems like there's lots for children too, with a lovely imitation Victorian Parlour, complete with fancy dress and victorian toys, as well as some fun handling sections for children to enjoy. There's also a beautiful new gallery with globes of many varieties in. Personal favourite items include the walking stick which could contain leeches and glass fungi models. Of course it is free to enter and it is definitely worth spending an hour or more here!!

“Facinating”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 23, 2013

A little tricky to find - walked past the entrance twice - but well worth it - some really interesting objects and lots of information - particularly liked the glass models of microscopic flora.

“For anyone with an interest in scientific instruments”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 28, 2013

A small but very well set out museum containing scientific instruments and equipment dating back hundreds of years. There is a hands-on room where children (and adults) are encouraged to touch and explore. Worth spending an hour or so looking at the exhibits. Entry is free.
