“Calm Cool Cambridge”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 9, 2014

This is a must see when you come to Cambridge very nice open space lovely for literally anybody you could end up spending the whole day there as it is that nice to be there. It hardly ever get's overcrowded even on hot day.

There are public toilets and a few ice cream stands so you can not really go wrong coming here.

“Wide open, green space enjoy”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 12, 2014

A place to unwind, stroll, run, play, meet up. Legendary for town and gown. Local schools use it for team games. The place where the basic rules for Association Football were formed and pinned to a tree in 1863. Fantastic grass well loved. Diagonal footpaths, watch out for cyclists. Queen Annes Terrace car park adjacent and reasonable.

“Open space”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed September 30, 2013

The hotel at which we stayed for three nights was directly opposite Parker's Piece, and it was very nice to have such a large open space on our doorstep.

As it was school holidays whilst we were there, there was a small fun fair for children in one corner of the park. It is a usable space for recreation, rather than a leafy city park with pathways for strolling and benches to sit on and feed ducks or squirrels.

So, not really an attraction for visitors, as such, but a popular open space for the kids and dogs to run around in and for exercise and games.

“It's not a park it's just a square of grass”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed March 26, 2013

I'm fascinated by some of the misapprehensions about this piece of grass. For one thing it is not in the middle of town. Very much on the edge. Jesus Green is as near to the centre and nicer.

In summer Parker's Piece is a place to hang out and kick a ball about or go to a fair, if there is one on. In winter it is bleak East Anglia personified into a windblown square of flat land.
