“This visit was not so great”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 days ago NEW

I've now stayed here three times and it's been good the first two times. Unfortunately we were put in Room 1 this time which has a rather aged and saggy mattress and being so close to the kitchen and having no sound proofing, it is not very good for a decent night's sleep. The bathroom has been shoehorned in and is tiny. We will probably go back but will specifically ask not to stay in Room 1.

The service is fine, the place is very clean and I have no complaints about the breakfast at all. The owner is always very pleasant to us.

Room Tip: Ask not to stay in Room 1

We only stayed one night and it was fine. The price makes this absolutely worth staying at if you need a place to stay whilst visiting. The food in the morning was lovely and the whole place is very clean.

Lots of tradesmen were staying at the time, luckily there is a large-ish parking area out-front that made the parking of the vans possible. Very helpful owner.

If you're looking for a romantic place then this is not the place (squeaky beds..) but if you want to visit Cambridge and come back to a warm, well-kept home on a budget then we couldn't recommend it enough.

Enjoyed our stay here but were positioned in a front bedroom which overlooked a busy main road resulting in heavy traffic noise.

We liked the friendly welcome and nicely decorated and spacious room. The cooked breakfast was delicious and there were a variety of choices. There was a good power shower over the bath. Free working WiFi, however signal quality was low in the building our room was situated in (leading to about 2 Mbps down). Still, it was free and adequate for browsing the web or sending email.

The main issue was the traffic noise and the fact that the curtains didn't effectively eliminate the light during the night.

Would recommend to others.

Room Tip: Avoid rooms at front if possible.

The location on the ring road of Cambridge means easy access, but also lots of traffic noise through the windows. The rooms (and bathrooms) have been recently modernized, they are stylish and clean. The mattress was quite stout and thus suited me well, but the bed was ridiculously short; should have been a foot longer at least. The bathroom also looked good, but the thermostatic tap on the shower kept fluctuating the temperature, either too cold or too hot, but never quite right. The tiled bathroom floor was terribly cold. In the morning everything seemed slightly damp, even all our clothes (in June!). No complaints about the service nor the breakfast, they were just fine.

Had a one night stay for a girls weekend in Cambridge. Expected with 3 of us sharing one room things might be a bit cramped but it was ideal and there was plenty of room. Even had a little sofa and doors opening on to the garden. The room was immaculate and the beds extremely comfy with some of the nicest pillows I have come across. Very friendly owner and free internet just added to the experience. Took a cab into town rather than the bus as there was 3 of us and it cost about £10 each way. Breakfast in the morning was plentiful and nicely cooked. Will certainly use again next time I'm in Cambridge.

Room Tip: Ask for a room at the back if you want to avoid road noise.

Very nice stay for one night. We had a spacious en suite room with a hanging closet. Ample off street parking. Note: house no.140 is attached to 138 and is a part of the B&B. Park anywhere in front. Decent breakfast. It's a bit of a hike to city centre but the Citi 2 bus passes right in front so very convenient. During Friday rush hour it took ~20 min to get to Drummond St. but <15 min otherwise. Pasquale was also kind enough to let us keep our car parked for the whole day after checking out. We were able to take full advantage of a lovely sunny day in Cambridge and left as the sun set.

Very clean and spacious family room for four with en suite worked really well for our one night in Cambridge. Great breakfast selection to satisfy all appetites - I would recommend the full English though! Friendly snd attentive service without being overbearing. Would come back again most definitely!
