“Good”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 10, 2012

Checking in was nice and quick but despite asking for two rooms together (before any rooms had been allocated) the receptionist had to do this when checking in at 9pm. The room was very clean and comfortable and the wireless internet easy to get onto but the room was overbearingly hot (due to the cold) and the air cooler did not seem to work. None the less left the window open until going to bed and had a okay sleep due to this minor issue. The same receptionist who checked us in greeted us at breakfast (she was very pleasant and helpful), Decent breakfast but I do not prefer having a cooked buffet breakfast at all, may suit some, but not me. Additionally we had to park up on an upper storey car park with the usual sloping ramp, but as it had snowed, we struggled to safely get to the car (this area should have been gritted by default in this type of weather)

I have stayed at this particular premier inn lots of times for business, whilst I was working in Cambridge and I have found it to be one of the best.

As a lone female business traveller I find its security measures comforting eg swipe card to get into lift and through main door on each floor.

The onsite restaurant is really good with friendly staff and lots of choice. You can also order meals to take back to your room.

Ive only had one bad experience with a group of men in the room next door trying to get into my room early hours after their night out - this was resolved quickly with a call to reception.

Its location is great for business as it is literally right next to the A14 but also great for weekend breaks in Cambridge. There is a small bar lounge, which is also ideal for meeting colleagues for imformal meetings. (though I do remember one poor guy being interviewed in this area, which I thought was a little unprofessional of the company interviewing him!!)

The bedrooms are exactly the same as every other premier inn, but are spacious, clean, modern and have air conditioning, which in the summer was a great benefit.

Overall I wouldnt hesitate to stay here again - and in fact will be doing next time business takes me to cambridge, and would highly recommend it to anyone.

Room Tip: Family rooms are same price but are larger with a settee.

Stayed one night and despite the weather had a good time! The hotel is conveniently located near the main road and about ten mins in a taxi (about £8) from central cambridge. No automated kiosks but it was nice to see a friendly and helpful face for a change as most premier inn have deserted receptions these days. Free car parking and decent breakfast although bacon was a bit disappointing (undercooked) if i was being very picky! The room was typical premier inn and well appointed. Nice and warm as well which given the weather was well received. Would thoroughly recommend!

This hotel is conveniently located on the A14 A32 Junction. Staff were polite, pleasant and efficient The room was of the same consistent high standard that I have come to expect from Premier Inn, modern and the kingsize bed was comfortable. The food was fine; I paid for a meal deal, which is good value. I had a prawn cocktail (prawn sauce tasted a bit cheap), steak, jacket potato and salad was excellent, profiteroles for pudding. Breakfast provided a great selection. There was fresh fruit and a berry compote, as well as yoghurt, pastries, cereals, full cooked breakfast. Stayed to break up a journey to Norwich and will definitely stay again.

Room Tip: On 4th floor via lift. Nice and quiet, due toe the very good double glazing.

All was fine and room too. But the breakfast was poor. Lots of it but lots of not very nicely cooked food. Shame really- i mean what does that bacon taste like? Do the staff/managers/area managers/top brass ever sit down and eat one choice of the entire selection to taste test ? If they do and accept that it is all fine then then are wrong. The breakfast cost 9 quid- if i stay in a Prem Inn again i will be skipping the breakfast.

We have stayed here a couple of times and also at the adjacent Travelodge. The Premier wins by a decent margin,
Mainly due to the efficiency of the staff and the availability of decent food . Well done for not overpricing the wine!

Hotel is conveniently close to the A14. Location is next to housing development which seemed a bit odd but shopping and restaurants are a short drive (unless you're very fit and want to hoof it!).

Good security, very clean, good parking and friendly staff. Restaurant dinner was also decent.

Excellent value and I would recommend
