We came here last night for a works leaving do. There were over 20 of us and we sat outside on the patio. The views were lovely across the river. The menu was good - standard pub grub at reasonable prices. I was pleased to see it was busy too - plenty of families and couples enjoying sunday dinner out.
Despite the somewhat daunting task of taking orders for 20 plus people, the staff managed well. We had no mix ups or problems and we found the service to pretty good. We only had to ask for more cutlery as the basket was empty but they came out very quickly.
I had the scampi and chip which was tasty although not a huge portion.
My colleagues enjoyed steak, sausage and mash, veggies curry and the sunday roast. Again - as it was very reasonably priced, nobody had any complaints.
Due to its quiet backwater location and lovely scenery -I will certainly be taking my family there some time soon.
