Stayed one night while visiting my son in High Wycombe. Stayed on my own and felt completely safe. Lovely clean and comfortable room and got a great deal for only £39! Would definitely stay again. Cannot comment on food as didn't eat there.

Stayed here on a Friday night in February 2012. Got for an excellent rate of £31 a night. Hotel is located just off the M40 and next to a cinema and Frankie and Benny's restaurant. The room was adequate the furniture was slightly worn and could do with being replaced. Room was stifling hot when we arrived and we had to turn off the radiator. The air-conditioning system didn't work properly as well. Breakfast was extremely expensive at £13 so we went to Frankie and Benny's whom were doing a full English for £5!

Thank you for taking the time in completing a Tripadvisor review. The hotel is in a great location with easy access to M25, M40 and M4 and is a popular destination for weekends and weekday. I have noted your comment on the case goods in the bedroom, we do have a yearly maintenance schedule for all our bedrooms along with a planned refurbishment programme. It would be great if you could email me at mark.langham@ihg.com to notify which room number you stayed in. Our award winning breakfast is priced at £14.95 however on check-in you can purchase a voucher priced at £11.95 this includes full English and Continental buffet with pancake machine, fresh fruit, pastries etc.

I do hope that when you are next in the area that you will choose to stay with us again and thank you for your feedback.

Kind regards

Mark

A group of us stayed here for our school reunion within the last two years. one thing I really like about the Holiday Inn is that is is so consistent throughout the world and I always feel sad when i try to stay at one of my old favourites and find that it has been bought up by a different franchise, inevitably with a drop in quality and consistency. Not so with the one in High Wycombe, which was familiar, like an old friend.

The room was comfortable and check out speedy. However, the food in the restaurant was dire. I have stayed in various Holiday Inns and this was not a pleasanet experience. I returned my started as it tasted so awful. The main meal was better but not much.

Thank you for completing Tripadvisor. I am sorry to read that your families meal experience was not to our usual standard. Since your stay in October I have had a new Executive Head Chef start along with a change on our Great British menu of some of the dishes. It was great to read that your check-in with reception was speedy and the bedroom comfortable.

Thank you again for your feedback and I hope that we will have the pleasure of hosting your next stay.

Kind regards

I have stayed here on several occasions having family and friends in the area.

It is OK as a hotel, not the most plush in the area, to be polite I would say that it is functional as a business hotel for one or two nights and great and convenient as a meeting point as it is just off the M40 motorway.

The room I had last time was small and not very well appointed, the bed was hard and the pillows very thin and I would suggest cheap although they have different types of pillow (firm and soft) in each room the difference was negligible.

The bathroom was a little dated as was the room decor.

I paid £99 for the room only through late rooms, I certainly would not pay the full asking price for this hotel room, so my hot tip for this hotel is that if you need to stay here book through late rooms.

Added bonus for this hotel was that parking was free! most unusual for hotels in this kind of location.

Thank you for your feedback about your most recent stay in High Wycombe. I am sorry to read that you thought the bedroom you stayed in was a little dated, we do run an ongoing refurbishment programme throughout the property which has seen all public areas completed, bedroom corridors and most bathrooms, this will continue throughout 2013 and 2014. As a Holiday Inn we do offer a pillow menu in all our bedrooms and as a standard all bedrooms have two firm and 2 soft pillows, I have asked housekeeping to audit all the pillows to ensure the correct pillows are in each bedroom and replace any that are over a year old as you should always tell the difference between.

Thank you again for your feedback and I hope you stay with us again when visiting the area.

Kind regards.

Mark

The hotel is what you expect in any decent chain - no better ,no worse. The rooms clean comfortable and a good shower! Breakfast , self service, continental or full English was good and tasty but the coffee was a little weak. The couple of negative points we found,NO LIFT!!! ok its only one floor, but with suitcases or mobilty issues, its a bit of a pain, and we did not eat at the restaurant in the evening as the cheapest bottle of wine was £20, a bit steep ,IMHO. I didnt expect to pay a fiver but...... However Frankie and Bennys next door was good. The other thing was no free WIFI .I would expect to pay as a "business" customer but not a "casual" user.On the plus side, it was very quiet, even being so close to a major junction.Would I come back ? yes probably, which after all is the "acid test"

Thank you for your review of the Holiday Inn High Wycombe. I am pleased that overall the stay was good and that you would use us again in the future. I have passed on the great comments to Housekeeping. I have noted that the coffee was weak, which I am sorry about and will investigate. The hotel does not have a lift and so I always ask the Reception Team to be mind full of this when allocating bedrooms at check-in.

Thank you again for your feedback.

Kind regards
