I have to say, I am amazed that I am going rave about a Holiday Inn, but this was one of the best hotel rooms in England I have ever stayed in!

Check in was prompt, the hotel was clean and friendly, the room was massive, and it only cost £45 - Plus that was including a full cooked breakfast.

Bar prices were astronmical, but hey, you can't have everything. If you have a reason to stay in the area, then I would recommend staying here.

Stay here at least twice a year when visiting family. Great deals available through the holiday inn website. Have had both pleasant and unpleasant stays over the past few years. Reception staff friendly but seem overworked most of the time. Twice have been given smoking room when I had booked non-smoking. Took three room changes and six hours the last stay to get a suitable room, i.e. non-smoking room suitable for four as I had booked on their website. Restaurant is good value and handy seeing as hotel is quite a distance from Aylesbury. Note of warning. Twice in one two night stay we were overcharged in bar, by £12 on one occasion. When brought to staff's attention, no apology or excuse. Felt is was fairly obvious that we were being ripped off as we weren't used to sterling!

I spent two nights here and for the money I class it a bit of a steal!

Got a rate of only 30 pounds per person per night, including breakfast (teletext offer) for a modern, recently renovated room, good size, clean and well equipped for the price.

Facilites are excellent including gym, pool, free parking etc. Breakfast was to the necessary standard with hot and cold options that are more than adequate. Reception and bar area are excellent open plan spaces, with modern furnishings and a clean feel to the place.

I would recommend to anybody - if similiar prices are available, then grab them

This is a clean, efficiently run hotel. I stayed here for 2 weeks on a business trip in September 2004, and had previously stayed here years ago when it was the Posthouse Forte.
Clean, functional, typical "holiday-inn"-type rooms with comfortable beds, minibar, etc. There is a decent restaurant, and a good bar which serves reasonably good food as an alternative to the restaurant.
On the minus side the decor is completely charmless. Any English TV viewers who recall Alan Partidge's Norwich travel tavern - this is more or less what you can expect.
The second disadvantage is access to Aylesbury. True, this hotel is on a main road into town, but if you're a business travellor planning to drive into and out of Aylesbury in rush hour, allow plenty of time for being stuck in long traffic queues.
Overall this hotel is OK, but there must be better value for money in the area.
