Stayed in this hotel on business and found it to be an above average hotel. On first impressions from the outside it looks like a great country hotel.

In reality first impressions proved deceiving. The general decor of the hotel was of a high standard - in the 1970's!

The problem being the management and staff of this hotel still believed it was top class. This backed up by the fact a pint of Fosters cost me £3.15 and there was no main course on the menu less than £15.

Other than it being up its proverbial own arse, the rooms were clean and staff pleasent. However, for a AA Rosette restaurent the breakfast left alot to be desired.

I would stay here again, as in fairness it does beat a travelodge.

WE chose to stay here rather than one of the Big Brands, and what a pleasure it turned out to be. This is a lovely traditional Hotel close to where we had business - Slough - and the service was great. It seems to have been recently refurbished and the food was superb - the dining room small but not busy.

This is a really lovely gem of a hotel.

We stayed there for a birthday treat and thoroughly enjoyed it.

The room was lovely, the staff were very charming and helpfull.

The food was truly excellent and we felt the hotel was very good value.

I was talking to some business people who were on a conference there and they were very pleased with the facilities.

I've stayed at this hotel twice now on business and I'm pretty impressed. It's a lovely country house hotel with a very large garden area close to the main business areas of Slough. It caters well for the business traveller and I would definiteley recommend it above the big corporate hotel chains in Slough.

One of the reasons I choose this place was that it was good value with an AA Rosette restaurant. The food so far has been good but I sense that they are trying a little too hard and haven't quite got the balance right. The staff tend to whisper a lot which is bit off putting.

All in all I would recommend this hotel if you want a good value country retreat close to Slough.
