We visited the Clifton Sausage restaurant on a Sunday lunchtime and found it to be a very busy, bustling and friendly restaurant. The restaurant extends back and downwards from the front of the bar and is bigger than the impression on the website. The food was lovely and the sausages super! Can recommend the lamb & mint ones for a taste explosion, while the Old pork were a really nice plain sausage. The parsnip crisps were great fun! On Sunday there was a 2 and 3 course menu which was reasonably priced but became a bit expensive when the side dishes were added. Also found the soft drinks a bit on the pricey side!
The atmosphere was very good with lovely staff, we had a great time and are really looking forward to visiting again.Only downside was that the table space was tight and we were a bit squashed in. Recommend table is booked in advance. No designated car parking but it was easy and free in the nearby streets on Sunday, not sure what situation is like during weekdays.
