Booked over the internet as a disabled room. It would have been a nice option to be able to book a twin bedded disabled room but the choices are double - twin or disabled, which had a double bed.
My wife is not in a wheelchair but has a range of mobility problems, so a bed that if it had been any lower would have been a futon was a problem, until the staff put extensions under the legs. The shower was over a low bath that my wife struggled to use. She didn't bother on the second day as she was afraid of slipping. A non slip mat in the bath would have helped.
Lots of minor defect/deficiencies - only one set of towels on arrival for two people; loose coat hook; rickety chair, no TV remote and only 5 main channels working. Main bathroom light not working and shoddy workmanship when the bathroom had been regrouted. Outside main entrance fag ends on the floor and wall mounted fag bin full - neither of which were cleaned up during our stay. Most of these problems could have been fixed in a few minutes.
The staff were extremely friendly, helpful and cheerful and fixed what deficiencies they could quickly.
Booked in advance so very good value at £34 per night.
