Description: Lunch time offering of middle eastern streetfood based in Bristol st Nicholas market and Broadmead, city centre. Specialising in falafel, cooked fresh right in front of you. You can have them as a salad (In a box with lovely fresh salad, hummus and pickles), as a pitta (everything inside the pitta bread) or on their own (6 or 10 pieces served with hummus). All in all a tasty, healthy lunch that's great value for money at under £5.

“Cheap, healthy and delicious”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 9, 2014

One of my favourite places in Bristol. The food is always fresh, service is friendly, and the price is unbeatable. It's also a much healthier choice than many of the other local options - what's not to love?!

“Such good value and tasty food”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 5, 2014

This place is excellent for lunch. for £4.50 you get a box or large pitta stuffed with different salads, pickles, hummus and falafels. Service is fast, and they have tables so you can sit to eat if you aren't taking away. Most of the stalls in St Nicks have excellemt food, but this is definitely my go-to lunch destination.

“Very good street food”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 3, 2014

Eat a Pitta do very good street food in Bristol. Their only dish is falafel served in a few different ways, but the selection of salads, pickles, and sauces you get with it are great.

For the price, one cannot complain!

“What's not to like?”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 30, 2014

This is a takeaway (only) working from a glass box outside Boots the Chemist in Broadmead. There is really only one item on the menu - felafel, which are chick pea rissoles if you don't know. You can have felafel with hummus, felafel in pitta bread with salad, and felafel in a box with salad.

In a box with salad is probably the best option - you get a tupperware-type box full of grated carrot, grated red cabbage, couscous, chopped tomato and cucumber - a squirt of tahini or chilli sauce (or a couple of others I can't recall) - this is studded with five felafels and then they crush the lid down on top (it doesn't hurt).

Very healthy and virtuous with all that salad - and felafel are vegan too. Tasty even. What's not to like?

Let's pick some niits: when it's busy they ask you to queue up and pay, then queue up again and get your food. And it would be nice if they had some tables and chairs, like Subway round the corner. And when they are quiet, they give away free samples, but they are not quiet often enough for me to get away without paying!

“Simply the best street food in broadmead”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 26, 2014

Excellent value for money, delicious fresh salad every day, appetisingly stacked in large piles in the window. The falafel is the best I've ever tasted - crispy, rich and fresh. Everything is vegetarian friendly and the portions are huge. You can get ten falafels for £2.50 with hummous or a pita with salad and falafel for £4.50. So generous that I share it with my wife! I would highly recommend it over the other options (it makes subway look stingy, expensive and stale).
