We were spending a weekend near Bristol with my cousin and her husband and discovered the Dundry Inn on Trip Advisor. We took a look at their website and it looked ideal, so we booked for last Friday evening and drove about 10 miles to get there. It was well worth it, despite some mirky weather! It turned out that the new owners had only opened for business 14 weeks before after refurbishing and it was spotlessly clean and very tastefully done. The other reviewers are not exaggerating - this was a great find. My husband and I had the braised beef (delicious), and between the four of us we tried all three desserts and loved them. It was so good we returned on Saturday evening to try the Cornish Helford battered pollock with perfect chips, and my husband wanted another portion of the sublime sticky toffee pudding. Both the owners and staff were fantastic and made us so welcome, also giving us tourist tips for our days out. Although we were unable to view their 2 ensuite rooms as they were occupied, we have all confidently booked to stay there next year. To top it all, the views on the drive up and back in good weather on Saturday were just spectacular. You will love it!
