“Fab food, fab place.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 8, 2013

We booked a table with friends and had a fabulous evening. The waitress / owner was knowledgeable and friendly. The food arrived promptly. The decor is charming. Everything was delicious.

“Definition of what a great local restaurant should be”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 5, 2013

We were first drawn to this place by convenience (its actually a minutes walk from our house and the fact its the sight of Keith Floyds original restaurant) but once inside it has a very cosy feel to it and Liberty who is front of house is friendly and very knowledgeable about the food and wine. Menu is great, I ate partridge and it was delicious, and the wine was great and reasonably priced. They do brunch on the weekend and this too was good (we went back that week) and we are booked in again for next week.

Great mixture of locally sourced produce and a very warm welcome.

“Excellent place for brunch.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 4, 2013 via mobile

So good we visited two days in a row. We tried two different brunch options, both of which were outstanding. We are so pleased we stumbled upon this place, if we had been there for a week - we would have easily visited every day.

“Delicious”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 24, 2013 via mobile

A really nice restaurant with an interesting menu. Waiting staff were friendly and attentive.
6 of us split the bill which came to £42 each (that included 3 bottles of wine). The food was delicious and it was hard to choose. I ordered the hamburger which was fortunately very tasty but...it was otherwise not particularly special and pretty dull to look at. I had a definite case of food envy though as my friends had ordered differently and had no cause for complaint at all.
We were sat downstairs which although nicely decorated lacked some of the charm that you see on the entrance level

Popped to the wallfish for breakfast and it was fantastic. Lovely meaty sausages, perfectly cooked eggs, amazing bbq beans and delicious black pudding!!! Couldnt fault it! Thanks.
