“Excellent meal and friendly staff”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 24, 2013

Ate at Farrells for Sunday lunch with the family, we all ate the 3 course for £19.95 which for choice, quality and service was very reasonable.

I ate the mushrooms, beef and polenta cake for dessert. All were perfect, great flavours, well cooked and generous portions, particularly the beef.

Really impressed and I will definitely return for the standard menu.

Had a lovely meal in this friendly little restaurant overlooking the estauary. Staff were friendly and most poliete. The food was gorgeous and albeit a little on the expensive side it was well worth it.

“Relaxed meal!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 20, 2013

We ate here on Fathers Day (3 adults) at 1430. Despite the late lunch the food was superb. Service is laid back - but it's Sunday lunch, so who is in a rush? The Irish/Italian mix is interesting (think it is the whiskey connection?). Starters of Banshee mushrooms really did have the whiskey kick. Mushrooms were cooked with still a bite - no mushy mushrooms here! Two of us had roast beef - and it truly melted in the mouth. The vegetables were fresh tasting and unusual - the carrot/swede mix was very tasty. Father had salmon in a sort of chowder which was again perfectly cooked. For pudding we had a delicious barm brack bread and butter pudding with custard -and second pudding was pannacotte with summer berries - very refreshing.
Cost was less than was anticipated and despite the cold and damp this is a warm friendly place to enjoy an excellent meal. Clean plates all round.

“Fab location and well cooked food”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 9, 2013

Visited with friends on a sunny if windy Friday evening..Service was welcoming and friendly and attentive(offered to close door if got chilly etc). extensive range of pasta, pizza and risotto dishes.
Not outstanding but would definitely return.Good buzzing atmosphere... Not the location for a romantic meal though.

“A lovely way to spend my birthday”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 9, 2013

visited this restaurant for sunday lunch as recommended by my mother and father-in-law who also joined us on the day Found the staff to be really helpful and welcoming. We opted for the 2 course sunday lunch, all opting for the prawn cocktail which was really nice with a slight orange flavour which really livened it up, 3 of us went for the roast beef and hubby the roast pork, they were all excellent meat extrememly tender and generous, the veg was plentiful and interesting and we were also offered the option of having more if we so chose to, didn't need to it was very filling. I have to say I don't normally eat sunday roasts out because I often feel let down as they can never do roast potatoes how I like them im so glad I went here the roasters were perfect and crispy and the gravy was yummy. I cant wait to go back here it was lovely sat on the harbour and best of all no washing up!!!
