“Rioja !”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 19, 2014

My partner and I recently visited Bravas after a walk through clifton we happened to stumble upon this hidden gem! The place was bustling and vibrant full of customers and it being a friday evening we expected it would be a long wait for a seat. However we were pleasantly surprised as the delightful waiter brought us a glass of delicious wine (the house red) and the wait was only about 20 minutes much less than expected. When we were seated the service was friendly and fast , we chose about 6 plates all of which were delicious especially noted was the Zamorano cheese & membrillo, a delight. I shall return for more.

“Good food in no small measures”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 10, 2014

Had dinner with my partner at Bravas on a Saturday night. Found by accident. Was v busy so had to wait in doorway for a table. Well worth it. Everything we ordered was good. Service was pleasant and unhurried. Dearer than average but worth it. The only downside was that the toilets could do with sprucing up.

“Authentic tapas in Bristol !!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 7, 2014

Just returned from our first meal there. Thursday night and the place was humming by 7 pm. Sat at the bar watching chefs and waiting staff working feverishly to cope with everyone, which they did excellently. Excellent bottle of Verdejo then started with boquerones, stuffed pepper and fried aubergine with molasses, then fresh grilled sardine (perfect) followed by patatas bravas, grilled Iberico pork loin and lamb with oregano and a oiled mixed vegetables. All cooked superbly. £45 including wine, great value.Great music tracks and queues out of the door mid week, speaks volumes!!

“Bravas Tapas”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 6, 2014

I visited here for the first time after meaning to visit for a while. I was not disappointed, everything from the starter Olives, to the Chorizo in Cider and Peach/Almond tart was fantastic.

I have been to Spain and can definitely say this rivals any tapas found there, the service was excellent and quick to the table as well. The only slight criticism would be larger portion sizes ;) but knowing this is Tapasyou should know what you are getting in to.

Would definitely return.

“Scrumptious food!!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 4, 2014

We walked in last Friday nigh fairly late and there was a table available! The waiter serving us was super friendly, he explained all foods to us very well and helped us to choose the wine.
The food is very exciting and lovingly presented. We loved the goat cheese with walnuts and honey, the sardine, the olives, the beef carpaccio. We devoured all that and ordered some more- the Zamorano cheese, potato salad and the chickpeas salad!

I would recommend the bottle of the Ribeiro red wine! it is very nice!
This place is opened quite late, which is great if you want a late food.
The staff is knowledgeable and very friendly.
My new favorite place in Bristol for late night munching :)
