“3 day break”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 days ago NEW

Welcoming and helpful staff, the room was very clean & comfortable. There is a couple of restaurants nearby and a pub that does food a short walk away. A very nice place to stay and would recommend it to friends and family.

This Travelodge had all the necessary amenities for a comfortable stay. The room was modern, clean and functional. However our stay was enhanced by the excellent service from the reception staff - we were greeted cheerfully and efficiently and nothing was too much trouble. I believe you get 30 minutes free wifi but it was very slow to connect so I gave up waiting for it - not a problem for us on this occasion but some visitors may find this a nuisance.

Room Tip: North side may have better views but not absolutely sure.

We were in Portishead for a business meeting. The Travelodge is in a fantastic location. Everything is easily accessible from here. The staff at the Travelodge Portishead are brilliant. We arrived much much earlier than check-in time but were made to feel very welcome and a lovely hot coffee was made for us. Later when we did Check-in, Roger, on reception was friendly, helpful and again so welcoming. Our room was clean, comfortable and had everything we needed for our stay. Would def recommend. Price, quality, friendliness and cleanliness were excellent.

The staff I met here are brilliant, very friendly and helpul. The hotel does not have a restaurant, but the receptionist gave me a good idea of where to eat. For breakfast there's a subway next door, or a number of supermarkets in the area where you can obtain a cooked breakfast (I opted for dinner at Hall and woodhouse, and breakfast at subway).
The view from my room was cool, looking over the Marina (see the picture). The room I was given was an adapted room with two single beds and no bedside cabinets, not something I'd choose as I'm used to a double bed, but i decided to roll with it. I slept well and would pick this hotel again purely for it's location and the fact that there's a very picturesque walk round the marina, right outside the hotel.

Room Tip: a Front facing room gives you a good view of the harbour

Decided to have a last minute short break away around Bristol & chose this hotel as being on the outskirts of the city which turned out to be absolutely brilliant. Reception staff were courteous, well mannered & only too willing to be helpful with great suggestions & ideas of what to see & do. We have already recommended this hotel to our friends as we are positive that they won't be disappointed.

Having made numerous trips to Bristol previously and staying downtown, which proved very stressful for both dining and parking we decided to try Travelodge Portishead. Being located in a quieter area was a blessing. Parking was a dream and the receptionist was extremely helpful during all aspects of our stay. You can park anywhere in the Lidl carpark when they are closed which would suit most guests perfectly. The entire hotel is new and nicely finished but the rooms are basic, however they are very clean and the bathrooms are done to a high standard. There are quite a few restaurants nearby that are within a 10 min walk. We had pizza delivered from Picante Pizza to the hotel which was delicious and again lessened the stress. There is nothing negative to say about this hotel and would easily recommend them to friends and family. If the need arises to visit Bristol again we will be staying at Travelodge Portishead.

I don't normally review hotels but this one I just had to. My family 2 adults 2 children 7 and 9 have just come back from a 4 night stay at this hotel. The service is 2nd to none from all staff from reception to cleaners. There are lots of lovely restaurants around the small town with also a lidel waitrose and Sainsbury a short walk away. The rooms are clean and comfortable and the hotel is one of the quietest we have stayed at. Overall a lovely hotel ideal for any family trip. We shall certainly be going back.
